“DO NOT do business with VW of Kirkland. We bought a VW ID4 in 2023, paid over list but got the car we wanted. However, our experience with the service department has been amazingly frustrating. We get the feeling that the Service Department sees every customer as a challenge, and they must win the argument. We do not write many reviews, but after our latest experience, we had to get it out.
The ID4 is a wonderful car and our maintenance costs have been zero (with 45,000 miles on it), but you should definitely deal with a different dealer.”

“I brought my car in due to low coolant, which I had to refill twice within about a three-week period. I was grateful to be able to schedule a time when a loaner vehicle was available. I dropped my car off, and initially everything went smoothly until about 30 minutes after leaving, when the check engine light came on in the loaner car. I had to drive back to Kirkland to exchange the loaner.
When I returned, I was informed that my car had already been inspected and that no coolant leak was found. I was told this was based on a visual inspection only. The service advisor then agreed to request a pressure test from the technicians, which, in my opinion, should have been part of the initial diagnostic process. A few hours later, I was contacted and told that no leak was detected.
Since that visit, I have continued to monitor and refill the coolant. I now also hear a clicking sound after shutting the car off, along with a noticeable sweet, coolant-like smell. These ongoing symptoms strongly suggest that there is still an unresolved issue.
Although my car is still under warranty, I feel I have little choice but to take it elsewhere for further diagnosis. The staff I interacted with were friendly and the process itself was convenient; however, there is clearly something wrong with my vehicle that has not been properly identified or resolved.”

“We had the best experience from this dealership. John B. was an outstanding service agent. All of our expectations were met and our vehicle was ready on time. Will definitely be going back. Even picked up the VW to Tesla converter. Works well.”

“Five stars isn’t enough for the level of care I've received here. It's rare to feel like a sales team actually has your best interests in mind — but that is undoubtedly what I experienced with Volkswagen Kirkland.
From the moment I walked in, I felt supported. Chris did an excellent job making the entire experience welcoming and stress-free. He answered every question honestly and showed me multiple options without pushing me into any of them. Tommy was also incredibly helpful, and went well out of his way to find THE perfect car that met my goals and stayed within my budget.
I went to several dealerships before making my way to this one and can easily say that I wouldn’t want to do business anywhere else. Exceptional customer service, genuinely good people (shout out to all of the 12s here — go Hawks!), and top-tier cars.
Overall, I cannot recommend this dealership enough. To anyone looking for a positive and trustworthy car-buying experience, this is the place!”

“About a month ago I had a check engine light on my 2023 Arteon with 5k miles on it. The next day the car won't start and had to deal with towing it in (waited 6hrs for a tow truck thru VW Roadside). Ended up being a shifter switch of some sort, the part took 3 weeks to arrive, 2 of which I had no loaner, even though they should have emergency loaners on hand but they were all out. The part got changed, they cleared the codes and gave me back the car. 2 days later, check engine light again, turns out it was the intake manifold, which was probably the reason for the original check engine light. Part got changed in a day or two and then the test drive must've consisted of doing laps through the construction site next door because the car looks the way it does in the pics. I showed the service manager this but she seemed very uninterested and unapologetic about it, basically said it's the rainy season in Seattle and there is construction next door. Really? No other cars on the lot looked like mine. She also said they don't offer a car wash BUT if I really want one, it will take 40mins at least. I said no thanks, I need to get to work. About to get in the car when I see a trim piece on the drive side floor and a screw. They took the car back in service, fixed it and decided to finally rinse the car. About to leave again when I noticed dark smudge marks on the front tan leather seats. Went back in, manager asked someone to find some degreaser... I said no way, please find some leather cleaner or send it to detail. They eventually found some and cleaned the seats.
This service department gives you the impression they are new at the whole service department thing, or at the whole customer service thing.
On our Atlas when they serviced it, they forgot to top off coolant so guess what, another trip back to the dealer.
Speaking of taking dealer trips, they cracked the shifter bezel on the Arteon during this visit and I will have to drive back again to have that installed.
Did I get offered anything for the nonsense they put me through? Or reimbursement for them not having a loaner and me having to rent a car to get to work? Did VWOA help at all? The answer is no. That's the new VW for you, after me having 15+ VWs, this is by far the worst experience with a VW dealer I've ever had. Considering selling the Arteon and the Atlas, if this is the direction VW is going, I want no part of it. $45k GTIs and Tiguans, this is not the people's car anymore sadly.”
