“This was my first visit to a Deacon Jones dealership for service. I am a routine customer at Phelps Chevrolet but due to a tight schedule I decided to try out Deacon Jones for the convenience. I expected to pay more at a larger corporate owned dealership, however when Gary told me my total of $402 I was absolutely blown away. I typically spend around $250 at Phelps for an oil change, tire rotation and fuel filter change. I brought this to Gary's attention, he was able to discount my bill but still approximately $100 more than I normally pay. Gary was friendly and helped me as much as he could. I am a GM Rewards Visa cardholder, I was charged an additional 3% to use my card to earn points, while I understand that the dealer is charged a service fee, it seems like a perk of using the branded GM card should be that the fee is waived. After arriving home, I also noticed that my oil change reminder on the windshield was not replaced nor was my fuel filter life reset. Needless to say, I will not be back to Deacon Jones for service.”
