I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration with a recent service experience. My 2014 Chevy Silverado was experiencing a transmission slip in first gear. I brought it to Best Chevrolet for a professional diagnosis to understand the root cause. After leaving my vehicle for two days, I was contacted by Service Advisor Oscar. He informed me that the mechanic had observed metal shavings on the transmission dipstick and, therefore, recommended a complete transmission replacement at a cost of approximately $7,000. I was immediately skeptical, as I had personally checked the dipstick twice prior to bringing my truck in and had observed no metal whatsoever. I paid the $200 diagnostic fee, retrieved my vehicle, and sought a second opinion at a dedicated transmission specialist, Cottmon Transmission. Their assessment and solution were drastically different and more ethical. They performed a fluid and filter change—a routine service—and my truck has since operated perfectly with no further issues. This experience leads me to a very disheartening conclusion: I was charged $200 for what appears to be a fabricated diagnosis designed to justify an overwhelmingly expensive and completely unnecessary repair. It is deeply saddening to believe that a service advisor might prioritize commission over honest, necessary work. While I cannot speak to all departments or employees, this incident has irrevocably damaged my trust in your service center. I share this experience as a cautionary tale to other consumers. Always consider a second opinion for significant repairs, especially when the diagnosis seems extreme and does not align with your own observations. The disparity between the recommended service here and the actual, simple fix is both staggering and unacceptable.

Easiest car buying process I've ever experienced. Tony Lee is one of the most kindest salespeople I've ever met. He was very patient and attentive to my husband and I while providing exceptional customer service the entire time. The finance manager Thomas, was very informative, patient and kind. And I can't forget Mr. Darren who assisted as well. Everyone we came in contact with tonight was really nice! Best unexpected Christmas gift ever! There is a reason it is called BEST Cheverolet...they simply are the BEST! From the sales manager, Ricky, salesman Chris(LSU) and the finance man, Thomas(Fin), my experience was like being part of their family. The atmosphere is laid back with no pressure. If you are in the market for a vehicle, go see them. If they don't have it, they will find your dream vehicle for you!
