“I was in Coggin at the Avenues on Wednesday 11/19. Came in for a transmission flush and inspection. My service advisor Jack took excellent care of me as always. The procedure itself took less time than I had expected. Jack also was able to use a coupon I had found on the Nissan website. That is very helpful to me since I am retired. “Initially, my experience with Stephen and Coggin Nissan of the Avenues was positive, and I was very pleased with the Lexus I purchased. The vehicle is beautiful; however, it was missing a lug nut key. At the time of purchase, I was assured this would be provided within 30 days. When I followed up to confirm how this matter would be resolved, I was informed that I would need to visit a Lexus dealership, have them inspect the lug nuts, obtain pricing, take a photo, and then forward that information back to Coggin Nissan. I asked whether this could be handled through Coggin’s own service department, as it seemed reasonable that the dealership address an issue that was its responsibility. Unfortunately, I was told this was not an option and that I would need to take care of it myself. As a result, in order to obtain a part that the dealership committed to providing, I am now expected to invest my own time and effort. This experience has been disappointing and has diminished the otherwise positive impression I had of the purchase. I believe customers should be able to rely on a dealership to follow through on their commitments without shifting the burden back onto them.”
