Bought a minivan from them back in 2025. A mixed bag of feelings so far. Good part: Didn’t go to dealership pre-owned nor local auto shops because don’t want any part of the haggling. The sales was decent person, the 90 day warranty was fulfilled no questions asked. Bad part: Car quality is questionable. The biggest mistake I made was to expect relatively higher quality than buying from private seller or local shops. You can decide if I’m nitpicky from my experience: 1. I found a bent roller during purchase. - scheduled a service and had it covered. 2. I paid for a third party inspection myself, found front strut leaking - scheduled two services and had it replaced. 3. The replaced front strut started making noise right away. Went to dealership service for a second opinion, found replacement lower quality third party (couple hundred just for diagnosis) - scheduled two services and CarMax also think it’s a faulty part so replaced to oem. 4. 3 months in and I started to hear noises in the brake area. Warranty was out and I didn’t wanted the hassle of going services multiple times either, so did it myself - rear brake rotors are rusty on edge causing noises at the beginning 2 min of driving; front brake pads are wrongly put between driver side and passenger side just from checking the brake wear indicator. - long story short. I myself replaced rear brake pads and rotors 4 months in and replaced front brake pads and rotors 8 months in. 5. While all those above are still generally reasonable when buying used cars although CarMax claimed hundreds of points of inspection, there are two more things that are beyond bearable: First, while checking front brakes, I found driver axle nut was LOOSE, I mean hand-removable-y LOOSE. Second, I decided to thoroughly check the engine compartment after such colorful experience in first three months; the engine air filter must have been there since the car was built… Now that I have a functioning car, hopefully I don’t need to buy another car again for years.

Bought my son his first car here. It was a great experience, fast and easy with nice service. Mostly grateful for John Khalil. We looked at a few dealerships including other Carmax locations. After finding the car we liked here, John helped us when our original sales person was with another customer so we didn't have to wait. I followed up with John the next day over text and even though he was not working that day, helped expedite all of our paperwork so we were able to come in and finalize the transaction quickly and easily. Thank you John and Carmax.

Selling my car with CarMax was an incredible experience. They were friendly, efficient, and thorough, and gave me a fair market offer that they upheld (no annoying dealer haggling). I used the express drop-off appointment option and was in/out in about 30m. They even provided me with a complimentary Lyft ride home. I would highly recommend selling to them, and if I’m ever in the market for buying a used car again I would strongly consider them based on the positive experience I had.

Great Place. Just bought a car here. Had to bring it back for minor fix on back license plate holder. Part came in quick. They called me ., I came in they even gassed up and washed the vehicle. Jose in service is Great. They gave me fair price on my trade and my sales guy Joseph Teckenoff was nothing but a pro. Highly recommend Carmax for sure.
