“Visited Volkswagen dealership this evening and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. From the moment I arrived, the salesperson, Brandon Yessine, I worked with was standoffish and at times disengaged. I came in to look at an 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan. I started to notice he made little effort to explain the extra $3,972add-one. As a customer, I came in with my questions, especially after researching the vehicle and carfax report. During the test drive, there was an uncomfortable silence and I had to initiate most of the conversation just to learn basic information about the car or just to spark friendly conversation.
When I asked about the out-the-door price and add-ons, I received vague answers and excuses such as “we have to make money” or “my sales team in the back needs to make money.” This was regarding my questions about the add on fee of $3,972. I explained that I was financing through my bank, who also offers extra coverage. I noticed later, when his manager, Mel, joined us, Brandon's attitude suddenly became upbeat and conversational, which made it even clearer that the original lack of professionalism wasn’t due to being busy/end of the work day. It was a choice.
I also found it unprofessional when his manager, Mel, told me he didn’t want to “call his boss on his day off, if I weren't serious about purchasing." As a customer who drove nearly an hour to visit this dealership, that comment felt dismissive and unnecessary.
On top of that, I was told by Brandon, that their prices were “marked down so low” that the add-ons are what make the final price higher, which doesn’t make sense. Add-ons like roadside assistance or paint protection should be optional, not forced onto the buyer after advertising a lower price online. That kind of sales tactic feels misleading, and it only added to my discomfort with this experience. Price of Tiguan listed online for $16,279 after taxes, fees, add-ons it came to $21,654. After further discussion regarding OTD price, he negotiated OTD $20,029.72. Brandon stayed possible wiggle room with OTD $17,700. Big difference. I understand the sales tactics. I also understand when I'm being lied. Add-ons are at will, per customers discretion.
I’ve learned to recognize when I’m being judged or pre-assumed based on how I look, and unfortunately, that’s how this visit felt. I came prepared, knowledgeable, and respectful, yet I was treated as though my time and questions weren’t worth the effort.
I liked the Tiguan. It drove smooth. Only issue was minor peeling on the back left of the vehicle. Even with that, no negation on price. Overall, the interaction left me feeling undervalued and uncomfortable. Professionalism, transparency, and respect should never depend on who walks through the door, how they’re dressed, and if they are male or female.
Brandon refused to give me a copy of the price quote, only allowing me to take a picture. That’s not transparency, that’s manipulation. As a customer, I am legally allowed to have a copy of any written quote that includes name, VIN, and pricing. It’s not confidential information. He mentioned something about legally, he couldn't give me a copy. I've been provided copies elsewhere with no issues. They also tried to include a mandatory “Protection Package” claiming it had a $7,300 ($3,972 quoted to me) value, which is completely misleading. Most of the items listed were minor treatments like Rain-X, fabric spray, and VIN etching. Things that should be optional, not forced onto buyers after advertising a lower price online. When I questioned it, I was told it couldn’t be removed, which is unacceptable and a lie.
I hope this feedback encourages better customer service training and awareness, because no serious buyer should be made to feel this way when simply trying to purchase a vehicle. As stated, I wouldn't drove almost an hour, if I weren't serious about purchasing. Great would be the day when you can cut the middle man and avoid hassles when attempting to purchase vehicles.
This experience was deceptive behavior. 🚩”

“Please avoid buying any used cars from this dealership. I bought two cars from them on the same day, and both have turned out to be lemons. One is a 2022 Mustang Mach-E, which has had issues from the very beginning, and the other is a 2019 Ford Fusion. Both cars have recalls and are not functioning properly. We didn't even get the 30-day tags off the Ford Fusion before smoke began to come out of the back when starting it. I purchased this car for my daughter, and it's incredibly unsafe.
With the Mustang, I still find that I frequently lose control of the display, and the lane departure and collision control features continue to deactivate. They were supposed to clean up the dog hair in the car, but I have been trying to remove it myself since the day I bought it. I'm really appalled by the situation. Additionally, there is a recall on this vehicle that poses a danger to me and my children. I wasn't given the opportunity to investigate the issue myself; I was told everything would be fine and that Ford would handle it. Unfortunately, that's not the case, as there is currently no solution for this recall. I purchased both cars in June of this year.
I would also like to mention that the Ford Fusion stalled while my daughter was driving it due to an undetected recall related to the transmission, of which I was not informed. Please do not make the same mistake that I did and do not purchase a vehicle from this dealership. They need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau.

“It's very hard to express the level of aggrevation, relentless pressure, endless efforts and harassment poor Matt Carter( salesman) endured while making my dream a reality!!
He is not your typical car salesman, we now consider him a friend. He was honest, committed and dedicated to making this experience as great as possible. We came in with some pretty strong obstacles and expectations to match. But he never stopped working for me. Thanks Matt, recommend 10/10.”

“Thomas Good was the salesperson that worked with me. He is absolutely fantastic. From the moment I spoke to him over the phone he got to work. When I arrived at the dealership he was waiting at the door for me. He patiently worked with me even after the dealership closed for the day, to get the job done. I found Me Good and the staff to be honest and the car buying process was seamless. I highly recommend Thomas Good and the team at this dealership. I have 2 more teens in my house and definitely will be visiting them again in the future. This was the best car buying process that I have ever gone through.”
