“PLEASE listen to the other negative reviews. We can’t all be telling the same story and be lying. Here’s my review from my Sept 19th experience.
If every other dealership in America suddenly vanished and this was the only one left standing, maybe—and I mean maybe—you could take your chances here. Otherwise, steer clear of Gurnee Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram unless you enjoy chaos disguised as customer service.
I drove over an hour from Wisconsin with my infant because Capital One pre-approved me for this exact vehicle at this exact dealership. I told the sales rep, Amir, that Capital One was my only lender and I did not want my credit ran multiple times. Within minutes, they hit me with a 15% APR—nearly double what I was pre-approved for—and said pre-approvals “don’t really mean anything.” When I started dialing Capital One, they magically “negotiated” a 10% rate in under two minutes. A miracle? No. They’d run my credit through multiple lenders behind my back and were trying to pocket the difference.
Then came the upsells. I was told the car had no warranty left and that I “needed” their $1,975 add-on. Later, I learned the vehicle still had its factory warranty. Add in an unapproved $299 “theft protection,” a last-minute jump in APR, and a conveniently missing copy of my signed paperwork—yeah, it was that kind of party.
When I called Capital One to verify my loan, they told me it had already been funded even though I didn’t have the car or even the paperwork for that matter. I immediately demanded cancellation. The dealership finally agreed to unwind the deal—after I emailed threatening to contact the Illinois Secretary of State, the Attorney General, and the BBB to notify them of their shady practices. They confirmed the deal was cancelled… but never refunded my $515 down payment. It’s been weeks of ignored calls and ghosted emails. I’ve now been forced to file a dispute with my credit card company.
So, if you’re craving stress, mystery, and a deep dive into creative financing, this is your spot. But if you value honesty, transparency, or basic human decency—drive literally anywhere else.”

“I got my Dodge Charger Daytona serviced here to get my exhaust fixed and it was one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve ever had at a dealership. Andy is awesome. He was extremely thorough and made sure that everything was good with my car before I took it home. He was also very patient and willing to address all of my questions and concerns about my car without hesitation. I highly recommend coming here to get your car serviced!”

“VERY upset and disappointed with the entire experience at your dealership. I went in with my dad looking to possibly do a trade in and stumbled across the 2021 Jeep Wrangler, we were told it's MSRP price and we're fine with it. My dad asked about warranty and were told there was a year included with the vehicle but never that we needed to purchase additional warranty in order to get it. Upon getting the appraisal for my vehicle we were told they could offer 5k for it then later received a 4k offer on the bill of sale, why would they say a specific rate then change it on paper. They also included a bunch of other extra fees such as the warranty, we asked to have that removed and the salesperson said that it was mandatory in order to receive the one year warranty that was originally mentioned. Again, we were given incorrect information. We also asked about the dealer service fees because they were very high and we are aware these are fees that are negotiable based on my previous experience working with dealers. At the end we came down to a number that was going to be doable but as soon as I mentioned I was financing through my own personal bank and would present a check with the exact sale amount we were denied business. Because apparently you guys "loose money" if you don't finance through your financial institution. Why would this not have been brought up at the very beginning?? Plus we also offered to pay cash upfront at the start for the MSRP price and they declined as well. It was just overall a very bad experience. Very misleading, unprofessional, and disappointing customer experience.”

“Why can’t every service experience be this good?! Scheduling the appointment was easy, the team was ready to work on the car right away, and the service advisor, Dave was able to ask questions to diagnose the issue. And he was positive and engaging! I certainly felt valued! Great job Gurnee CDJR!”
