Painless. Yes, I just used the words painless on a car dealership reviews. Went online and got an estimate for my car. Walked in, less than an hour, paid exactly the much, no hassling me. Thank you Brendan B!! Best selling experience ever!!! Will be back in the future.

Buying the car was easy and quick, but the process of getting my plates and correcting my name on the title was a completely different story. It was very frustrating to have to return twice—once for the name correction, and then again to extend the temporary tag, only to be told after being instructed to come in that they couldn’t assist me. To their credit, they did offer a tank of gas, but this should have been a seamless process from the start. I was also told that our plates had already been handled and would arrive by mail, when in reality we still had to pay for them.

Both my wife and I sold our cars, with my wife doing a trade-in as well. From start to finish, it was such a wonderful experience. We purchased our cars years back at another CarMax location and had a smooth process. But CarMax Golden was a whole other level of hospitality, service, and expertise! We felt a personal connection to each team member who helped, and we felt comfortable and taken care of throughout. A huge shout-out to Savannah, Molly, Michael, and Blair! I have enjoyed being a CarMax customer, but I cannot recommend the CarMax Golden location above all!

I must admit that I was very surprised with the entire CarMax experience. This was my first time going through the car buying experience (let alone by myself!) and there were a few gentlemen that made life infinitely easier than I thought it was going to be. Not only could I not get time off from my job and their hours were very helpful, but there was ZERO pressure to do anything I didn't want to, and they were patient with me while I did my individual research and felt things out for myself. The two men I worked with at the Golden location were David Weiss (what a guy!!) and Avery (also what a guy!). David was incredibly welcoming and made me feel comfortable with what I was doing. He was there the first day and I couldn't have asked for a better dude to help me out. Avery was there the second day and he effectively helped me choose the car I wanted. Thank you to David and Avery! You guys have made a repeat customer of me! Give these dudes a raise!

I had done lots of research before I went to the store, found a car that met all my requirements, filled out a lot of paperwork and was ready to do the express pickup. But after test driving, found some things that I didn't like about that car and decided not to purchase. Luckily, CarMax had a different car on the lot that met my criteria and ended up buying that one. It all worked out in the end but my Express pickup experience that should have taken 30 minutes ended up taking 3 hours.
