“I recently took my car to Volvo of Glen Cove for a simple inspection, quoted at $37. During the visit, they told me I needed a 30,000-mile service even though my car only had 28,000 miles. Since I was working that day, I planned to pick up the car during my lunch break. When I called at lunch, the service advisor (who I’ll leave unnamed) told me I needed new brake pads for $1,100 and new front tires for $750 — bringing the total to about $2,500. That sounded excessive, so I decided to hold off and get a second opinion. I later took my car to Flower Hill Auto Body, where they inspected it and confirmed that both my brakes and tires were perfectly fine. To make matters worse, when I reviewed the bill from Volvo, I noticed they had written “customer requested 50K service,” which I absolutely did not request, this cost me $500! I’m extremely disappointed. I went to Volvo of Glen Cove because I trusted their name and expected honesty, but this experience has left me with serious doubts. Being told my brakes were “bad” when they weren’t, and being billed for a service I never approved, is simply not fair.”

“This is my third Volvo XC60 and second plug in hybrid. I’m very impressed with the technology of the plugin hybrid cars, and how seamlessly it goes from gas powered to electric powered modes as it needs to. Jonathan worked with me on both plugins. In my car shopping history I must have worked with 20 sales people and I have to say he was the most pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. When I expressed interest in a plugin, he answered all my questions and explained all the features and technology during the test drive. He made the leasing experience as painless as possible and I was able to turn in my old car and had my new car by the end of the day. This experience was repeated for my second car as well. He doesn’t use any high pressure tactics and goes above and beyond to provide excellent service. He helped me months after the sale and does so voluntarily. I highly recommend working with Jonathan. I have found the staff here to be very friendly and professional. Steve, the service manager, is also very helpful and great to deal with.
