“I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this dealership for vehicle inspections.
I originally brought my truck in specifically for a traction control warning light, not for an inspection. I made it very clear that the truck should not be inspected unless that light was successfully diagnosed and resolved. Despite this, the dealership failed to fix the traction control issue and still proceeded to run the truck through a state inspection anyway—without notifying me first.
They knowingly inspected a vehicle that they themselves had not repaired, entered the inspection into the state system, and guaranteed a failure before it even started. This felt less like a mistake and more like a setup to force me to return to the same dealer to “finish” the inspection.
To make matters worse, they failed the inspection for a 2” lift that is legal under state law, stating they would not certify it because it was not factory-installed or dealer-installed. That is not a legal basis for failure. I later took the truck to another licensed inspection station, where it passed without issue.
Shortly after, I was contacted by a State Police investigator regarding the inspection discrepancy. The investigator confirmed that the lift configuration is legal, including the use of a single rear suspension block. The lift uses a properly installed split metal block, not an unsafe or improvised component.
Because this dealership chose to push a failed inspection into the system without consent, it became extremely difficult to find another inspection station willing to take on a previously failed vehicle. That unnecessary complication alone cost me significant time and stress.
This dealership appears to apply its own internal rules instead of following state inspection regulations. If you have any aftermarket modification—even one that is fully legal—or expect transparency and consent before inspections are entered into the system, I recommend going elsewhere.
I will not return, and I do not recommend this dealership to anyone.”

“In December of 2020, we were at my nephews home in Md. I mentioned I was thinking about buying a new car. Craig said his brother-in-law Jason, was the GM at Criswell. We made an appointment and purchased a 2021 Traverse Red Line Series. We recently decided to buy another Traverse. I texted Jason to ask his thoughts oh the High Country or the RS series. From there we made an appointment with Bill Crammer Chevrolet in PCB, Fl. It was a totally disappointing experience. I texted Jason and shared my experience with him. I asked if he had 2025 or 2026 High Country available in black, gray or white. Jason had a 2025 High Country in stock which was exactly what we were looking for. We made the deal, and 5 days later we started the 2 day, 1019 mile trip to pick up our new car. Got to visit with our 2 nephews and their families, and started the return trip.
I don’t know how many customers would drive over 1,000 miles to buy a new car. We did. Jason is the ABSOLUTE BESYT.”

“I want to recognize Eldad Berhanu at Criswell Chevrolet GMC in Gaithersburg for truly outstanding service. From start to finish, Eldad was professional, patient, and exceptionally attentive.
Even though my appointment was not showing in the system (I’m not sure where the disconnect occurred), Eldad didn’t make excuses or pass me off; he took ownership and focused on the outcome. He went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of, and his commitment to customer service was evident in every interaction. Not only did he get my oil changed, but he also handled my 15,000-mile maintenance and a car wash, and everything was done in record time.
Eldad represents the kind of integrity and excellence you hope to find in a service department. Criswell is fortunate to have him, and based on the level of care and leadership he demonstrated, he deserves a promotion or bonus without hesitation.
As we head into the holidays, I also want to share my appreciation for the entire team. I’m grateful for people who lead with character and service—values that matter deeply to me.

“Chriswell service department was a complete 5 star experience. Everyone was professional and courteous. I was greeted as soon as I drove in the bay. Dina was exceptional! She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions regarding future service. Will not take my vehicle to any other dealership!”
