While I was able to get the vehicle I was looking for at a reasonable price. The delivery of the vehicle was less than ideal, as was the cleanliness of the vehicle at purchase. This was my first purchased from carmax, so I am not quite sure what the expectation was. The vehicle had to be moved from one location to another and had I not called multiple times I feel the vehicle still might be at the original location. The auto generated communications for status were also problematic and providing dates and readiness.. The visible surface area was fine, however the vehicle still had a large amount of dog hair in areas that were not immediately visible during the test drive. As well as a lot of small areas that were just completely untouched. I've received cleaner cars from car rental agencies. The cabin air filter was a complete mess and happened crushed back into the holding track. And additionally, multiple charging ports wete loose, and will have to be replaced. Once again not noticeable, right away. But after several uses, they were falling out. Overall, the transactional part of the purchase went smoothly, and the vehicle mechanically is good shape.

👉 First and foremost, get the camax care plan. Just roll it into the loan, when dealing with a used car a warranty is always mandatory, Carmax makes enough money they actually care about honoring a warranty vs what it may cost them like smaller dealerships. With that being said if you ever find yourself in need of service, see 👉 Sheila in service, this woman will literally treat your car as if it were her own and get everything done as thoroughly and efficiently as possible, amazing dealing with someone who appreciates what others go through when experiencing service repair needs. Great service team in general, they were all very polite, but this lady gets it done and done properly.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Service from the Entire CarMax Fredericksburg Team I cannot say enough good things about the entire team at CarMax in Fredericksburg, VA. From start to finish, their customer service was absolutely outstanding. My car became stranded in Tampa, Florida, which was already a very stressful situation. The Fredericksburg CarMax team immediately stepped in and took care of everything — coordinating the transport back to Virginia, keeping us informed every step of the way, and handling the entire process with professionalism, patience, and genuine care. I want to give a special thank you to Sheila and Mr. Michael, as well as the entire team at the customer service desk. They were incredible — attentive, knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly invested in making sure everything was handled correctly. They took the time to answer questions, explain the process clearly, and made sure we always felt supported. Once the car arrived, the team went above and beyond by thoroughly inspecting every detail, checking absolutely everything, and ensuring all work met their standards and our satisfaction. They didn’t rush, didn’t cut corners, and never made us feel like just another number. We just got our car back yesterday, and we could not be happier. The care, communication, and follow-through we received were exceptional. It’s clear this team takes pride in their work and truly cares about their customers. Thank you again to Sheila, Mr. Michael, and the entire CarMax Fredericksburg customer service team for turning a stressful situation into a smooth and positive experience. Absolutely Recommend! Honest/Trustworthy. Will and Jeremy were an absolute pleasure to work with. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Will was incredibly patient and genuinely helpful as I explored several different vehicles on the lot. He took the time to walk through their online inventory with me, explain options, and coordinate shipping without ever making me feel rushed or pressured. I stayed in touch with Will for months while waiting for the right car, and his consistency, professionalism, and kindness never wavered. After visiting multiple dealerships, including traveling as far north as Chantilly, and having a particularly poor experience at a non-CarMax dealership, the difference with this team was night and day. The level of support, transparency, and care they provided was unmatched. I would without hesitation recommend Will and/or Jeremy to anyone in the market for a vehicle. They truly are THE BEST. Also I never found a better price or warranty anywhere else. They also provide a 10-day period where if you decide you want to return it for any reason you can do so - no questions asked and no gimmicks - just honest good people.

Honestly CarMax was great, I walked in without a clue what to do other than I wanted to buy a truck. Definitely should’ve done more research but it wasn’t a problem at all. Soon as I walked in I was treated and helped by a sales rep I completely forgot her name but I know she Dj’s too! She was really cool super informative and helped me figure out how to pick a truck I wanted to test drive and try to purchase. Soon enough I was back at the dealership trying to complete the purchase that same night. I traded in my old Subaru and thanks to her help and John’s (I think that’s what the managers name was) too everything went smoothly and was ready to pick up my truck that next morning. Yellow bow on it and all. Super happy with my new truck. She’s a beaut. Thanks to everyone that helped at CarMax for making it a smooth and quick process. I love my new truck
