“I have bought six cars and sold three to Carmax. Every experience has been very pleasant, until my last purchase. We had reserved a car to be transported to our local store. Salesperson verified it, and we got confirmation emails that all was scheduled. Three days later, I just happened to look online and saw the car sold. The only explanation I received from the store manager was that the car was on a test drive at the shipping location when I put in our transport order. Not happy. We did find another car at another store, the sales person was young and really needed some customer facing skills. I felt like a transaction only. I know that Carmax has changed its commission structure for the sales team, but the buying experience was just unfriendly, cold and non-caring. Won't be back.”
