“Crest QuickLane mounted and balanced a set of tires for me. The staff was friendly and professional but the wheels were noticeably damaged. I was a bit hesitant to use Crest at first since I had never used them for tires in the past. Though I have probably a dozen sets of wheels, this is the only set where I critically care about the appearance and originality. The week prior, I spoke to the service advisor who enthusiastically assured me they were willing; I tried to give them the opportunity to decline my business as I know the wheels are old and small, I was picky, and this was not their bread and butter. Before the service, I also spoke to the tech, attempting to emphasize how important these wheels were to me and tried to drive that home with a $40 tip on $80 of service. It did not work. All of the wheels had some scuffs on the face, like tires were put down on top of them. This is no big deal, and was able to be removed with some cleaner wax. But more critically, one wheel had a deep gouge around about 270º just inboard of the lip, and another had large chips taken out two spokes, fully down to the aluminum, one large enough that I think even a non-discerning customer would notice immediately. I was able to compound and polish out about half of the gouge but the rest is deep into the basecoat, and there’s nothing to do about the chips without repainting some portion. Before and during the service, the staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional and I cannot complain at all about those interactions. I did share these words and photos with the service advisor and he was apologetic. I was not planning on writing this review until Crest requested so by email, but upon consideration it may be worth at least recounting this experience for others.”
