“Yesterday my wife and I went to Glen Toyota. I told her Victor the salesman was cool and said that we could browse. We are seriously looking for several cars right now; for myself, my wife and my son; but me immediately. When I find what I want, I’m prepared to write a check. Again, Victor in sales is a nice guy. Joe E the sales manager was high pressure and rude when I asked him if there was “any room” price wise on a 4 runner Overtrail. At that point we had looked at or sat in several cars mostly by ourselves. I came back several times, not to be a bother but because I live around the corner and happen to need several cars all at once. Anyway, Joe E the mgr followed me outside after making me wait unnecessarily for a price. He got defensive with me, put down my Honda pilot(as a trade in) and disparaged the Lexus I was considering against the Toyota products. I don’t understand why somone would talk down to a paying customer like that. I never even took a test drive, I just quietly sat in and looked at a couple of cars. I know, I came back a few times and asked some basic questions but I was agreeable; why is that a problem? I basically felt chased out and unwelcome. Buying a new car isn’t much fun with these guys. I won’t spend my money there anymore. Their manager’s style of selling is a big turnoff off to me. No thanks,not for the amount of money I’m prepared to spend. Actually, not for any amount of money. I’ll go elsewhere. 02/06/26 Edit Next day; I just went to the Lexus dealer in E Hanover was treated great by John and bought a Lexus Overtrail LX700H at a great price below msrp. Pictured,“Earth”color with brown trim. 6000 lb vehicle, 0-60 in 6.2 sec, 457 Hp and a 13” hydraulic lift kit. 20 miles per gallon combined. Loaded. Things worked out for the best.”
