“I purchased a car, and all the amenities that i was looking for were not there. I felt like the salesman could've been a little more helpful before I signed for the loan. I was able to go online and find a vehicle that had everything that I was looking for. I paid for shipping, the car was only 2 hrs away but I didn't receive it until almost 2 weeks later. They were able to accommodate me with a loaner. I would recommend telling the salesman exactly what you are looking for.”

“Great experience. Start to finish. Didn't need an appointment. Generated an offer online. Took printout in person to business office. They inspected the car in twenty minutes. And then we did the paper work and I got a check. They gave me the amount they offered online. They don't negotiate, what the computer generates is what they give you. If you have a lien on your car they'll pay it off. Staff was very friendly. Everything took less than an hour. They gave me a free Lyft ride home. Only issue was my name was misspelled on the check, but my bank still processed the check. So definitely make sure that your check has the correct information before you leave. Bring your id, loan information if you owe money, title, and registration.”

“This was about as painless as buying a car can realistically be.
I found the car I ultimately purchased through CarMax at a location in Virginia. The stats looked good, the price made sense, and I am already familiar with the brand. Instead of driving down to Dulles to get it, I paid the $99 transfer fee to have the car shipped up to my local CarMax in Maryland. Between saving the trip and not having to deal with a Maryland inspection myself, it worked out well.
I had my financing lined up before I ever set foot on the lot. I arrived around 4:45pm on a Tuesday, test drove two cars, purchased the first one, and was out the door before 7pm. The whole process was impressively efficient.
CarMax’s multi-point inspection process, along with their return policy that effectively gives you a 10-day test drive, added a lot of peace of mind. I still brought the car to my local mechanic during that window, and it received a clean bill of health.
This is the third car I have purchased through CarMax, and I have been consistently happy with how they do business. There is no pressure, no games, and no unnecessary friction. If I buy another car in the future, I will happily use them again.”
