“Before purchasing a Mazda, I would strongly encourage anyone to be aware of the issues some owners are experiencing with the CX-70 and CX-90. I purchased a CX-90 in April 2025, and by just 2,000 miles the brakes started squeaking. I took it in to have the rotors and pads replaced, but the issue was never fixed. Eventually, I decided to trade the vehicle in.
What really made the experience frustrating, though, was the dealership itself. The sales staff did not seem well-trained on the vehicles they were selling, which made it hard to feel confident in the purchase. Management was essentially nonexistent. Multiple times I asked to speak with a manager, and no one ever came out or followed up.
The finance process was the final straw. The finance representative, Shawn, was extremely unprofessional and dismissive, as if helping customers was inconvenient. Customer service is a big part of that role, and unfortunately it was completely lacking.
There’s honestly much more to the story, but it would easily turn into a full page. Bottom line: I would not recommend this dealership. We ended up trading the Mazda and purchasing from Mercedes-Benz of El Paso, and the difference was night and day. The general manager was welcoming, the staff was knowledgeable, and everyone treated us with respect. No pressure, just solid customer service.
I’m not telling anyone to buy a Mercedes-Benz, but I do recommend at least walking into their dealership before committing to Viva Mazda. The quality of the dealership really does matter. While I truly loved my CX-90, the combination of unresolved vehicle issues and poor service made the experience not worth it. Unfortunately, I would not purchase another Mazda again or recommend this dealership to anyone.”

“In all my years of purchasing a vehicle, this is the best customer service I have ever experienced! Ruben went above and beyond in helping me find a vehicle that was best suited for me and within my price range. Considering my personal circumstances, the finance manager offered me a warranty and payment plan that made life affordable and the store manager Omar ensured my needs were met, making me feel like a valued and trusted customer. I will certainly be returning when the time comes to purchase a new vehicle! FANTASTIC JOB!”

“I went to help pick-up my son's Mazda CX-50 Hybrid at Viva Mazda El Paso. Per contract vehicle was supposed to be detailed inside and out of vehicle, also a full tank of gas. Showed up to dealership and the salesman was not there, the vehicle was not detailed and no full tank of gas. We were asked to comeback in about an hour. We went to change the oil from his old vehicle, 2 hrs later. We go back to Viva Mazda El Paso and the vehicle was supposedly detailed inside and outside, it wasn't. Another salesman told us that he had washed it because the person who washes the vehicles and the person that fills the gas tank was not available. I asked to speak with the manager. He wouldn't come out to see the vehicle. The same salesman comes out and I show him how dirty the inside and outside of vehicle, he apologies. This is why I warn people do not buy vehicles from any Viva dealership. They have no pride in their job and do not care about the customer after the sale. I told my son about my experience with the Viva dealerships, and warned him. But he bought the vehicle there any way. My son had to put a full tank of gas and took the vehicle to be detailed. If a customer is buying a 40k vehicle and the dealership can not be courteous enough to ask you to bring it back, instead we wasted our time and money. I do not recommend any Viva El Paso TX dealership to family or friends.”
