“Bought a car that had transmission issues soon after.
They "worked" on it under warranty, but it still didn't feel like it was shifting right.
When I brought this up in a later call they dismissed the concern saying that's just the CVT.
Now the transmission is shot and needs replacement, feels pretty shady.
Edit: These are the excuses given for why Carmax would not help me.
1. Only the transmission module was worked on, no work was done on the actual transmission so there is no warranty on the part or work.
However, there is also no proof or assurance that the transmission was even looked into as far as the manager knew. Seeing as it still wasn't operating correctly after, that indicates something was probably missed or ignored.
2. The second excuse was that it wasn't actually under warranty when I brought it in originally.
Had they told me that, I wouldn't have brought it in and taken it to the dealership instead and avoided this mess.
These people will look for any reason not to help you.”

“The entire experience was outstanding! I found the vehicle I had been looking for and Orlando (Luna) assisted me with the process, which was quick and easy! He gave me the numbers upfront, the different options I had for the purchase, and gave me a run down of their gap and warranty coverages. Once I made the decision, I called him up and he came in on his day off to get the paperwork done. I went home and his boss sent a Lyft to pick me up when the car was ready, about an hour later! Got there, signed my contract in less than 10 minutes and was out the door with my new car! No unnecessary waiting, haggling, or BS. He got it done quickly! This was definitely not a regular car dealership experience, it was so much better! I can’t say enough about Orlando and his leadership team! He deserves a raise or a bonus for making the experience painless!”
