“I had a very positive experience dealing with Hani in Sales and Alex in Finance. No sales pressure whatsoever; I made it clear from the start I did not want any dealership add-ons and we were able to proceed with me purchasing a CPO Forester. Definitely ask for Hani if you are seeking a new or used vehicle at Summit. And Alex is a great ambassador for Subaru as he loves his dogs!”

“I am in the process of comparing certified pre-owned vehicles to new models, such as the 2026 Subaru Solterra, which is currently available with a $7500 discount off the MSRP. Regrettably, despite multiple email requests, I have not received a comprehensive out-the-door price quote from the dealership. Given my practice of conducting thorough research before visiting a dealership, the lack of transparency is unexpected. While the $7500 discount is a significant incentive, I am cautious about visiting the dealership without knowing whether I qualify for the offer; I may still be able to purchase a CPO vehicle, but I am waiting for confirmation.

Update: General Manager Rone Isho stepped in and completely saved the day! He reached out to me directly, cut through the noise, and provided the exact clear pricing I needed. He’s making the process of buying our family’s first EV incredibly easy, and we are beyond excited to officially stop paying the CA gas tax. Highly recommend working with Rone if you want a straight-shooting, no-nonsense experience. 👍”

“I brought my daughter’s Crosstrek to this Subaru dealership in El Cajon for service and was told the vehicle needed new brakes, with the pads reportedly measuring 4mm. Before proceeding, I chose to get a second opinion.
After having the brakes inspected by an independent shop, I was informed the brake pads were actually at approximately 8mm and did not require replacement at this time. They took pictures and video of them for me.
I’m sharing this experience to encourage other customers to ask questions and consider verifying recommended repairs before approving work. While service advisors may be working from standard guidelines, it’s important for customers to fully understand what is truly necessary for their vehicle. This dealer may not be honest in what you really need.”
