“This was the best car buying experience I've ever had! I never felt pressured, rushed, or unheard. I never felt any condescending vibes from anyone, despite being a woman.
Ericson was our sales rep. He was so personable, easy to talk to, and really listened to my wants as the buyer. Highly recommend him! University Kia also has the best prices of any of the dealerships I extensively looked at (all the ones in the Triangle and Sandhills area), and one of the best inventories as well.
The finance rep (Landy) is also awesome, and what a small world because it turns out, we're from the same hometown in New England! Joey, the customer experience manager checked on us, and has even kept in contact after our purchase to make sure we are 100% happy! I cannot recommend University Kia more. If you're looking for a Kia, this is the place! I love my 2026 Carnival (traded a '22 Suburban), the amazing Kia warranty, and the 5 year service plan Kia offers is such a steal.”

“We had an absolute brutal customer service experience with University Kia of Durham. We bought a brand new Kia Carnival on October 25th. My wife made it a mile down the road and the battery light came on.
We reversed course and immediately came back to the dealership. They assured us that it was just a loose wire from a 3rd party anti-theft device they install after receiving the vehicle from Kia. When we popped the hood we could smell burnt metal. The device was so poorly installed it caused a fire. You can see the melted metal in the attached photo. If my wife had driven longer before turning around this could have been a disaster for my wife and kids. I would be extremely leery of buying a new car with this device installed on it. If you are buying you should request that is removed.
I held off giving this review as I waited to see how the customer service would be after this situation and I can say it wasn’t much better than the fire. 4 different times I was told I would receive a call back by a certain date or time during this process and they missed calling me back every single time. I was the one each time having to follow up to solve their mistake.
They were able to locate a new vehicle but the process of getting the collateral changed dragged and I could not pay the loan off until they got fixed. I had to speak to 6-7 people with either Kia Finance or in Kia Corporate to get this resolved. So I am going to end up paying extra interest on the vehicle.
Just a disappointing experience all the way around.”

“I recently purchased a 2025 Kia Telluride from this dealership, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. My salesperson (Chaz) was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the vehicle, which made the entire process stress-free. I never felt pressured into making a decision, and I truly appreciated their honesty and transparency. The service department has also been a pleasure to work with! I highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a new car. Five stars all the way!”

“Thank you Axel & Kia for such an easy and enjoyable experience buying my new car! From starting at text communication with Kia, to having a deal made within 30 minutes of my appointment, I cannot be more impressed. I’ve been searching statewide for this vehicle for months, waiting for the right deal to come along, but no dealership has been as transparent. Axel was friendly, helpful, and receptive to all my car desires. Kia was a great starting point as well, helping me tremendously via text since my work schedule often prevents me from being able to get in the doors before they close. I unfortunately can’t remember the finance manager’s name, but he was just as awesome and made everything a breeze in that department. I am so happy with my purchase, I would give 6 stars if I could— go buy from Axel!”
