When we leased our vehicle, all parties confirmed that the car would be driven out of state. Our signed agreement guaranteed three oil change reimbursements from LaFontaine, in addition to GM's complimentary first oil change. We were assured the reimbursement process would be straightforward. The experience has been deeply frustrating. The second reimbursement took approximately 10 months to process. For the third reimbursement, despite our signed agreement, Sales Manager Kristopher MacKinnon and General Sales Manager Mimi Passero disputed the claim. They insisted that GM's complimentary oil change program was funded by LaFontaine rather than General Motors, and dismissed the $85 reimbursement as insignificant. I verified the facts with two other Chevrolet dealerships and contacted GM Customer Care directly. Both confirmed that GM's free oil change program is funded by General Motors, not the dealership. I presented this information to management. General Sales Manager Mimi Passero promised further discussion, but has not responded since last week. This dealership failed to honor a signed agreement and demonstrated a troubling lack of accountability from management. Update (March 2nd 2026): We finally received the $85 reimbursement last week. I appreciate Mimi’s follow-through in getting this resolved.

My experience was great! I was not a customer of there’s previously but needed a certified Chevy dealership to complete a repair. Not only did they take me on the spot, gave me a loaner car for a week while the part was ordered and completed the repair, and treated me as I was a loyal customer for years. Highly recommend choosing LaFontaine Dexter for any of your car needs.

I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and sensor light for my air bags. My service contact person was Brandon. While explaining to Brandon what service I needed on my truck I informed him that I had damage to my rear tailgate due to a recall issue that was taken care of last year by another dealership. The only issue was the other dealership kept telling me they would fix the damage but would never schedule a service date to have it repaired. When I informed Brandon of this he said he would ask his manager if that was something they could take care of in the near future. While my truck was being fixed Brandon spoke with his manager and they had my truck taken to the auto body shop and repaired the tailgate i have been trying to get fixed for almost 10 months at the other dealership. This service alone is one of the reasons I will be coming back to LaFontaine instead of the other dealership. The other main reason...Brandon. He was very helpful, polite and took care of my vehicle and me. His service was top notch! Thank you Brandon

What can I say about my experience at La Fontaine in Dexter? I can honestly say it was the. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER THE CUPITT TEAM IS THE BEST TEAM EVER. In fact, all the staff they came across, was very friendly, very personable sharing some experiences that they’ve had working at the dealership from me talking to them about all my experiences with the dealership so far it’s a very positive experience. The dealership is very clean I just can’t say enough about the people that work there I felt comfortable. I didn’t feel pressured in any way shape or formed to buy a vehicle they make you feel at home they make you feel like you’re part of the Lafontaine family, which I really enjoy. I will be back for many years to come. It was the best dealership experience I’ve ever had.

I can not say enough WONDERFUL THINGS about Jason N. He took a hellacious situation and made magic of the outcome. The process was smooth and quick as I was on a massive time crunch to avoid paying for another weeks worth of a rental car. We did 90% of the sale over the phone and I drove two hours to go test drive and sign papers. All very friendly and welcoming with awesome personalities from everyone I encountered. I’ve had my 21 Chevy Blazer for two weeks and I am still in awe on how we made all that happen in no time at all. Thank you Jason and the Dexter LaFontaine Family.
