“Fair Prices, Good Work, Friendly People. Even if you get a slightly better price from another shop, there is a lot to be said for bringing your Volkswagen into a place that knows VW inside and out. Some mechanics have trouble with German cars and I've found that this dealership's work is consistently good and their prices have been reasonable. Oh - and I don't recommend waiting. If your car needs anything done to it, just plan on driving two cars there, Ubering away or having some work to do and let them take their time with the job.”

“We were in the middle of completing a car purchase with Karp Volvo in NY. We had an issue where the agreed price and financing was to be over a 60 month payout. This was the same terms as our 2021 XC40. At the final conversation regarding warranties, I requested no additional warranty as my wife on drove 20k miles in 60 months. I said keep the payments and term as agreed. He told me that the paperwork stated 72 months. I said that was not our agreement. I was told that they would need to discuss with the salesman or manager. I told Karp to cancel the deal if they could not correct the paperwork as it was not what we agreed to when I left my deposit. This was at 9:00am on 12/31/2025. Being in Florida for the Christmas holidays, we took a drive to Gunther Volvo where we met Julio Herrera. We explained that we just completed our last payment on the 2021 vehicle and we were looking for a new XC40, white exterior and light colored interior. We spent a few pleasurable hours with Julio attempting to local the desired vehicle. We were unable to secure a car and Julio said he would keep looking and would do his best to locate the car we wanted. At 5:00pm on New Years Eve, Julio contacted us to let us know that the vehicle we wanted just landed in Daytona. We immediately headed to the dealership. We were able to complete all documentation and secure Volvo Financing within 90 minutes. They were able to connect with my insurance company for the insurance binder. We walked out of Gunther Volvo with a completed deal for a top of the line XC40. We returned on January 2,2026 and received delivery of our new car. Julio followed up with a phone call after the weekend to assure that everything is well with the car and let us know that if we have any questions about all the new technology upgrades from our 2021 car, that we should not hesitate to come right in for review and additional training. Gunther exceeded our expectations. On a side note, Karp Volvo, Mike Kelly, the salesman I dealt with and purchased the previous vehicle from, nor the manager has ever contacted me about this failed deal. I was expecting to get an immediate call when the deal started going sideways. This is not a professional was to handle customers as we were working on that purchase since I gave a deposit on December 11, 2025.”
