“Today I stopped by Beechmont Toyota to purchase a brand new 4Runner. I wasn’t sure if I was actually going to get the SUV due to my budget. However, after I would say possibly an hour and 30 minutes I had made my decision. The representative that helped me on the floor was named Mike. He was outstanding and made my purchase very easy. There was no pressure and minimum negotiation. I didn’t feel like I was being forced to buy. He listened to my offers and he came back with his own and we were able to meet somewhere in the middle. “I visited the used lot to purchase a 2021 Ford Explorer ST. After a test drive, I was set on buying the vehicle. I requested three simple things: Assistance with a warranty, A match for my Carvana trade-in offer, and Repair of a small crack in the windshield. I was told they would “fill the crack,” the warranty wasn’t an option (which didn’t surprise me), and they would match my trade. I arranged my own financing and returned later that day to complete the purchase. However, upon arrival, I was immediately pressured to use their in-house financing instead. When I told the salesman I wasn’t interested, the finance manager refused to sell me the car and insisted I return with a physical check in hand. I left the dealership disgusted by the greed and lack of integrity. Once home, I reviewed the numbers and discovered that the check amount they wanted included over $3,000 in unnecessary “protection products.” Like many large dealerships, this one turned out to be another scam operation—more focused on squeezing extra profit than serving honest customers. They became upset simply because I brought my own financing and refused to let them make extra money off me, even though I was paying the full asking price. I’ll be taking my business to a smaller, more trustworthy dealership instead. 11/3/25 update- I purchased the same year, make, model and mileage from another dealer in the Cincinnati area and proudly paid $1,200 dollars more. No issues and I was out the door in 1 hour. I highly suggest Kings Subaru of Cincinnati for your used vehicle needs.”
