“The good: They will return your calls and/or text to get the sale (that’s about it).
The bad:
Long story short: They’re liars! When one of the managers say: “Ford is offering the Ford Power Promise…..Ford will supply the charging port, install and all we had to do was be home”. They should be required to honor what was promised.
Long story: Stopped in in late August 2025 to look at the Ford F150 Lightning. A young salesman (Dom) came out to help along with a manager. Spoke to them for a bit regarding the truck, trade-in and financing. We were told by the manager that “Until the end of the year Ford is offering the Ford Power Promise…..“Ford would supply the charging port, install and all we had to do was be home”. We left without making the purchase. A few days later the Dom sent a text saying that the special financing would end in two days. We contacted two other dealers in Northern Virginia (let’s face it, Charlottesville vehicles are overpriced)! We were given out-the-door prices of over $3,000 less than Malloy. We sent the documents to Malloy, they honored the competitors pricing. All good so far. Purchased the truck….didn’t even test drive it. Probably one of the easiest sales, ever. Over a week passes and we ask about the charging station and installation. They had my email wrong to request the charging port. Got that corrected and received. Next Qmerit, their electrical install partner, sent us a quote for $1,185. Wait! What? We were told “all you have to do is be home”. We were then told by the manager, Shannon, that Malloy would reimburse the cost once the install was complete because Ford was telling them to sell the install at no cost. After install (which took over a month from purchase) trying to get someone to call or text is like hoping for a million dollars. I finally went into the dealership to ask about the refund. Shannon was no longer there (of course) and well, the other Malloy manager, Joe, basically said sorry about your bad luck. Well, Joe, bad word of mouth will cost Malloy a lot more than $1,185. All in all, it’s not about the money….it’s about the principal, being lied to and ignored. They are the WORST at calling people back. Consumers, do yourself a favor, shop outside of Charlottesville and as far away from Malloy as possible.”

“I had a great experience with this dealership. The staff was professional, courteous, and never pushy throughout the entire process. I also brought up a minor issue with my vehicle, and they addressed and resolved it immediately. Their efficiency and customer-focused service truly stood out. I highly recommend this dealership.”

“My husband bought a truck and normally him and I hate the whole process.
We were pleasantly surprised to find the process easy and straightforward.
The salesgirl Lea did a wonderful job helping him.
Audrey the business manager went above and beyond to get us the best rate,and explained everything without the normal sleezy Finance BS sales pitch.
We will be coming back and would recommend this dealership to anyone!”

“Everyone was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend Malloy Ford in Charlottesville to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle. All the staff was pleasant to work with and there was no pressure added. They allowed me to search for the vehicle I wanted as well as the desired options. A lot of dealership try to pressure you into a sale but not at this dealership. Staff from the top to the bottom ensured complete satisfaction. This is a five star dealership, extremely clean and everyone was welcoming. I also received follow up phone calls to ensure I was still happy with the purchase and asked how the truck was doing, all of which were positive. Great dealership to buy a vehicle from. The experience was so great, 2 weeks later, we went back and brought a Bronco. Again, the same great experience. So that tells me the customer service is not just a one off day, instead it's a full time culture at this dealership. Everyone strives for excellent service and total customer satisfaction.”

“One of the easiest vehicle deals I’ve ever made. Audrey was great to work with remotely and provided a no nonsense negotiation. I had been chatting with a half dozen dealerships, and she was able to get where I wanted to be by the end of the day. When I arrived 2 days later, the vehicle and paperwork were ready to go so that I could sign and leave. I’ll also shout-out Debbie who was fantastic to email with and made sure my title and registration were squared away under some unusual circumstances. Would definitely work with them again!”
