We had heard many stories about how complicated selling a car can be, but this experience was very smooth and easy. I was able to deposit the check the same day. The price was fair, and everything was handled professionally. I would definitely recommend this CarMax location.”

“When my 2004 Honda Accord's repair costs exceeded its value, I decided I wanted a used Kia Forte. My online searches kept showing me availability and decent prices at CarMax and lucky for me the Burbank location was just 2 miles away. I made an appointment for 11am on a Wednesday and was surprised how many people were there and subsequently had to wait quite a while to be helped; but once the wait was over I was extremely happy with the service I received. (I saw several signs posted trying to attract new staff so it looks like management is trying to solve the waiting time issue.)
My sales consultant was Ricardo Borisonik and he was terrific! Talked me through all the steps from trade in through selecting my car choice on that Wednesday. The car I wanted was in Duarte so it needed to be transferred to Burbank which took a few days. Ricardo verified the car arrived and we made an appointment to meet at 2 on Sunday and I was pleased that there was no waiting involved at all.
While I test drove a Forte on Wednesday, we took this one out too... handled great and I decided it was a keeper. We went through all the reports and then the financing and I was satisfied with everything! Ricardo explained things clearly so I knew exactly what I needed to know. It was also nice that all the DMV paperwork was taken care of!
By the way, Carmax gave me a great trade in deal... more than I hoped for.”

“Complete disappointment. Had the car shipped from Murrieta and Burbank. Did paper work online to save time. Got there to see the car had been damaged- huge scratch on passenger side door going down, on the door handle, further scratches inline with the door handle on the door under the window and at the bottom of the door. I was told they “had touched it up.” No plans to fix it and they would not adjust the price as it was less than 12 inches (although if you add up all of the inches of scratches…). How much would a body shop charge to get it back to the way the car was advertised? And, online it states to browse the gallery and ask about imperfections (looked great online). Very shady. It would have been nice to know it was damaged in transport or once it got to Burbank BEFORE my appointment. My advice to shoppers- don’t fill out a credit application until you see the car in person. Also, my trade-in was appraised online and supposed to be looked at in person; it never even made it into queue due to some error. Wasted my time. FYI, I have purchased 6 cars from CarMax since 2005 and haven’t had any issues.”
