Blah blah. Even if the car you bought has a bunch of issues, they're really good about fixing them in that 3-month window.”

No reasons were given, and the car was in the same condition with no issues found. Very disappointing experience — would not recommend.”

Wife and I bought her car here and the process was exceptional. We then ended up using their shop for a couple minor issues I was expecting when we bought the car and they did a phenomenal job. They were even accommodating my schedule. The needed her car for the entire day, it we were heading out of town that evening and couldn’t work out how to drop it off and not have a car, so they gave us a loaner we could use for as long as needed and when we returned a few days later, picked up her car and handed over loaner keys. “Cannot say enough, good things. This was my first time buying a used car from Carmax. We all know the stories about used car dealers. I expected a negative experience. It was absolutely nothing like that. The facility is clean and bright and spacious. My sales rep was friendly, not pushy, wanted to know what I was looking for. Extremely open helpful communicative through the whole process. He gave me his cell phone number and we communicated several times by phone. The administrative office were professional, and also friendly and kind. Good sense of humor. Walk me through all the signatures that were needed, and there weren’t very many. Basically a very relaxed and comfortable experience. And the part that really sells me on Carmax was their commitment to make sure that you get a good car. They do an inspection before they put the car on their lot. My particular car 2019 mini Cooper that I love, had come up from their Texas location and it only been on the lot for a couple days before I reserved it for me to finish the purchase. I told my sales rep that I wanted to have the car inspected via third-party garage mechanic that is very good with minis and BMWs. They initially told me there be no problem, but they have a policy that the mechanic cannot put the car on a lift. Apparently they’ve had trouble with damage happening and then it’s illegal struggle to resolve it. Instead of what they offered was that they would extend their 10 day walk away and will refund your money window on the car to a 15 day window. That I could buy the car have it inspected by my third-party and if anything was wrong with it, I could walk away and they’d refund my money. But they also said if it happens that your mechanic find something, we want to know about it and my sales rep told me that likely they would plan to fix it for me. Or as it happened, the Carmax in Texas missed a series of problems which I think are probably caused by one incident like a big pothole. The inner cooler was dented, and the wheels also had some dents in the rims, there was a skid paddle on the bottom of the car that was missing. And also the front and rear brakes had some problems. So what happened, basically Carmax repaired all of that. There was a little back-and-forth on the brake pads, but the rest of the brakes were replaced and the brake pads on 40,000 mile car are close to needing to be replaced anyhow. But the part that really sold me is they found that one of the shocks and struts and bump stops was bad and they replaced that as well. So bottom line, the Carmax in Brooklyn Park is an honest shop. They have good people. And they do their best to give you a good car at a good price. Highly recommended.”

“I have used CarMax for my last 3 vehicle purchases. I always have to allocate much more time than I plan to (4-6 hours) in order for test driving and paperwork completion, but they make everything so easy. Financing, DMV paperwork, cleaning and inspection report.... They do it all for you and walk you through it all. Plus they offer 10 days to use the vehicle after purchase to make sure everything is alright or it can be returned. Love working with them.”
