âHad a fantastic experience at Modern Ford! We found a dream car even better than we were looking for and it was a heck of a deal! Thank you, Ethan, for listening well and connecting us with an amazing ride! You were so wonderful to work with! Closing the finances with Tristin was super smooth and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. I checked with my local bank and Modern Ford outdid them on the car loan. The head guy Steve is very nice and welcoming and everyone we interacted with were good people! We car shopped at several dealerships in town and had good experiences but the guys at Modern Ford are just next level awesome. Great customer experience and they really went above and beyond! Plus, our ride is SWEET!!â

âI spent 18 years in the auto industry. This service dept is the worst I have ever experienced. They will lie and mislead you. They refuse to honer there own Warrenty on service work. The service writer Pat will flat out lie to you and the service director is just as dishonest. I will never own another Ford produ t as long as I live in this Mountain.
The other Ford dealer Modern owns is In Lenoir .They refuse to honer the Ford warranty also. Friendship Ford of Lenoi.
What has happened to the auto industry in,this country. They just don't care anymore.
I would never step back into either of these Ford dealers again. Go ahead and try them.
Received a response from the Modern Ford Regarding the $6000 Timing Chain from 18 Months ago that they will not Honer the Ford Warranty .
Modern Ford said they care about me and the Cusromers. Yet not one person has picked up the phone to call me since this post . But they care about me and " I should call them !".
When I took my truck to Modern Ford Of Boone NC for a Diagnostic Test for the Check Engine light i received a phone call from Pat the Service Writer. Pat said I needed a whole Timing Chain Job just like she recommended 2 years ago .
I asked are you sure and Pat Reiterated " YES" .
I asked are you sure I need all those parts? Can we get by with out doing the whole Timung Chain to reduce the cost . Pat said " NO" i double checked and all the parts I have listed and emailed you need to be replaced.
( ALL MY COMMUNICATIONS WERE BY EMAIL SO I HAVE EVERYTHING IN WRITING ,)
I instructed Pat if she was sure that's what I needed to go ahead and do the work and let me know when the work would be done. And by the way Pat that Timing Chain job is under a Warrenty from your other dealer Friendship Ford .
At that moment you could tell Pat wanted to have a heart attack. PAT tried to back pedal and sat why don't you take it to them. We'll Pat I only live 3 miles from your dealership and 45 minutes from the next closest dealer. And it has a Nationwide Foed Warrenty so why does it matter.
Instead of saying your right there's a warrenty through ford Pat said " I'll have to have the Service Dirctor call you Monday and see it he wants to do the work. Now what difference does it make if it's covered by a ford warremry .
When I spoke to the service director he said he would not do the work and redo the whole timing Chain job when it only needed 1 sensor.
Now who said I needed the whole Timing Chain job ? Pat said I needed it. And I have it in writing.
The attorney Henerals offi e is already looking into this as Fraud since they will not honor a nationwide ford warrenty .
BEFORE ANYONE THINKS OF PURCHASING A FORD OR GETTING AERVICE FROM EITHER FRIENDSHIP FORD OF LENOIR OR MODERN FORD OF BOONE ( BOTH ARE OWNED BY MODERN) YOU BETTER THINK LING AND HARD AND THINK ABOUT WHO WILL SERVICE YOUR FORD ! AND WHO WILL TRY AND GET OUT OF ANY WARRENTY WORK !!!â

âLet me tell ya!! Iâve bought my fair share of vehicles before but have never had a better experience than I had at Modern Ford of Boone!!! My salesman Michael went above and beyond to make our buying experience as smooth, painless and quick as possible!!! Have you ever heard of having your future vehicle brought to you to test drive??? Michael did and was very knowledgeable and in tune to what we were looking for in our new ride!! I truly believe they are 100% the best there is. If you want personal, above and beyond service this is where itâs at!!!â
