“Update: How about YOU contact me this time? I’ve already made multiple attempts to reach out, but you’ve chosen to ignore them and act "too busy".
Let me start by saying that I’ve purchased six pre-owned vehicles over the past 12 months, and I always choose to work with reputable, highly reviewed dealerships to avoid unpleasant experiences. I’ve worked with three different Mercedes-Benz dealerships and twice with Porsche Austin — each one offered exceptional service, with Porsche standing out for its outstanding quality and commitment to treating customers with dignity and respect.
This time, I decided to work with Volvo Hill Country because they had a vehicle that caught my interest. My initial contact went smoothly. I was connected with Aiden Cooper, who sent me a video of the vehicle and greeted me upon arrival for the test drive. However, after the test drive, I noticed several cosmetic and functional issues that were important to me. I was prepared to walk away, but Aiden offered a solution: instead of discounting the price, he proposed that they would repair all the issues. He confirmed (supposedly after speaking with the manager) that they could take care of everything, and we proceeded with the purchase.
There were six items to be addressed:
- Create a secondary key
- Remove bubbled window film
- Repair the interior of the driver’s door
- Replace the start button
- Repair the rims
- Repaint the lower scratch
During the paperwork process, Aiden informed me that the lower scratch would not be repaired, which was disappointing but acceptable to me at the time since the other five fixes were still included. We both signed a “We Owe” agreement, confirmed by the manager, listing those five promised repairs.
The dealership kept the vehicle for another week to complete the work. When it was delivered to my home, I discovered that only three of the six issues had been addressed — the secondary key and the start button had not been replaced. When I contacted Aiden, he told me they would not replace the start button and that a key technician would come to my home to create the key. That visit never happened. Aiden stopped answering my calls and messages, only once picking up to say he would contact the key technician and send me their information — which he never did.
I left multiple voicemails and sent emails to the Pre-Owned Sales Manager, Jerry De La Peña, none of which were returned. Over a week later, I found out that my vehicle had been sold without a valid state inspection or registration, despite the dealership charging me for it. Once again, I tried to reach Aiden and the manager — no response. Eventually, another salesperson tried to help by arranging for my vehicle to be picked up for inspection, but even that required significant effort on my part to get the car back afterward.
My experience with Volvo Hill Country has been extremely disappointing. Their handling of this sale reflects poor business practices, lack of accountability, and, frankly, some questionable legality — selling a car without a state inspection, charging for registration without completing it, and failing to fulfill signed repair obligations. I strongly advise others to avoid doing business with Volvo Hill Country, particularly with Aiden Cooper, and not to expect any assistance from management if issues arise. This experience has made it clear to me that this dealership prioritizes cutting corners over customer care or integrity.”

“I had a fantastic experience here with Rueben after having a miserable experience with the other Volvo dealership. I had been eyeing this car and just wanted to test drive before I committed and within four hours of my test drive I was walking out with the keys to my brand new EX 30! It has been the easiest transaction I’ve ever done when dealing with car dealerships and it’s a reminder that customer service still does exist in small corners!”

“Alex, was a pleasure to work with. He worked hard to help negotiate a fair price for the vehicle. Furthermore, he helped to make my daughter's first vehicle extra special by helping us surprise her at the dealership...complete with a big, red bow on the car. It was so awesome and he played the part very well.
As for the vehicle is was very clean upon my first viewing of it and was really detailed inside and out upon final delivery of it. Kudos to the dealership vehicle make-ready team for such a great job. We could not be more happy with the whole experience.
