I placed a deposit on a car through Hertzâs Rent-to-Buy program on Saturday, October 11, with an expected pickup date of Saturday, October 18. As of Monday, October 20, at 2:00 PM CST, I still did not have a confirmed pickup date. Despite multiple follow-ups, communication from the sales representative has been inconsistent and delayed, and I had to contact the branch directly to receive any response. I have not been informed who my new sales representative is, leaving me unsure about the status of my deposit. I also incurred additional costs for a Carfax report and lost time waiting for updates.
When I finally picked up the vehicle on Tuesday, the car was not cleaned, and the passenger side rocker panel was severely damaged. Hertz refused to address this damage as part of the sale, which suggests the car may have been withheld for a week to hide the issue. Additionally, the vehicle had over 2,000 miles more than listed on the website at the time of my reservation, and Hertz refused to reduce the price for these extra miles.
After contacting the branch for clarification on Monday, two days after the original pickup date, I received several unprofessional text messages from the sales representative, placing blame on me even though I was only seeking an update on the pickup schedule. I am posting this review to highlight these serious communication issues and urge Hertz to provide a prompt resolution so I can complete my purchase. I am still waiting to hear back from the branch manager.
Tip for future renters: always screenshot your reservation details, thoroughly inspect the vehicle, and check that it is clean before completing any agreements.â

âOverall disappointing experience. I worked with Arturo Guzman on purchasing the vehicle and the customer service was quite poor. The manager was nice but it was difficult to have my car detailed, in which they offered. I also had problems getting my license plates. When Mr. Guzman did claim that my car was detailed, they left the old damaged plates in the trunk and unclean seats (showing it was never cleaned). I also received 1 license plate, and brought this to their attention multiple times over the phone and through email. Whenever I called and asked for the manager, they were always busy and unable to get back to me. They said they would send me my other license plate, but they never did.â

Hands down the best dealership Iâve ever been to!
I came in with a difficult situation and was struggling to get approved, but the team at Hertz Car Sales never blinked an eye. Even when it meant going through the same process multiple times to get an answer (even ones we didnât want), they stayed patient, helpful, and supportive the entire way. The staff here are absolutely awesomeâfriendly, understanding, and truly care about their customers.
On top of that, the cars are priced very fairly, with low miles and great quality. I couldnât be happier with my purchase, especially after all the stress I went through before coming here. They turned what started as a stressful car-buying journey into an experience Iâll actually remember in a positive way.
If youâre looking for a place that treats you with respect, doesnât make you feel like âjust another customer,â and helps you drive away with confidence, this is it. Thank you to everyone at Hertz for making this such a smooth and welcoming processâIâll be recommending you to anyone I know whoâs looking for a car!â

âMy particular experience is not a positive one. We did rent to buy program of 2020 Chrysler Pacifica. I reserved this rent at least one week away but I got email from Jaime if I would be picking up on the reserved day. I replied right away confirming. However, just one night before the rental day, I got a call from Brian if I would be picking that up so that they can clean the car. Otherwise, they wonât clean and send back to rental. I thought I already confirmed. I called him back multiple times but just went to the voicemail and no one to talk to. Then sent multiple emails and also a text to Jaime but no response. When we showed up to pick up the car, the car wasnât ready so I had to wait for 3 hours to get cleaned. When I pick up the car, the front engine area was so dirty and that showed that not only they did not clean entirely but also have not done any maintenance recently. Also the floor was full of sand as it was coming from Florida. The back up camera worked 30% of the time and either blank screen or the image got frozen for 5 mins even with engine restart didnât fix it. When I called to report that, they basically said they wonât fix it and I should just buy extra warranty. Itâs a safety issue. Not worth the time and money to buy a car there.â

âArturo & Kevin were amazing!! Literally I canât describe how happy I was with the experience. I went to a few dealerships and hated the experience of being hassled and baited. I didnât have that experience here. I came in, test drove my car. Went to another dealership to contemplate and immediately came back to purchase my car because I had liked the no pressure experience Arturo was able to give me. They stayed late in order for me to buy my dream car. Kevin walked me through every question I had with the purchase and Iâm just so thankful hands down. You really wonât find better customer service. Hell I walk in there and they know me by name. Truly an experience. Iâm a month in to owning my dream car and I still canât believe itâs real. If you want amazing customer service please go give Kevin and Arturo a visit. You wonât be disappointed. If I could give them more recognition I definitely would.â
