The buying experience was ALMOST superb. There were two things that detracted from the experience: 1) The car had to be transported from about 300 miles away. It took Carmax 14 days to transport it that 300 miles. 2) When the car arrived it had only one key fob, and NO owner's manual. If I had known that, I would have negotiated for another fob and a manual to be included, or at least highly subsidized. In addition, I tried to find a way for the Carmax app to let me register the car with the manufacturer. I tried, but the Carmax software failed. I will have to find a way to do that manually. I am having great difficulty logging on to the app.

This is my second time purchasing from CarMax, didn’t have much problems out of the first vehicle initially but it’s a Hyundai so go figure. I just recently purchased a 2019 Honda accord from them on Wednesday it’s only been three days and now the car isn’t accelerating and the engine light is on. Initially when I test drove the car it had a rough take off so we asked about if the car had a tune up, the salesman assured us that the car passed the inspection and didn’t need a tune up here we are three days later with a check engine light and failed acceleration 🤣 to say the least the car is going back and I’m starting a return. Oh the icing on the cake I put 6000 down on the car that they took RIGHT THEN no hold but to get my money back I have to wait 5-7 business days. Thanks so much CarMax I’m back at square one

I have sold vehicles at carmax without buying one and they always stick to their price, If not go up, i've also sold them cars as trade-ins and bought cars with carmax, and beuse of that, I wouldn't go anywhere else. I love the no pressure and gheh will go over and above to get you financed even with horrible credit because the sales department isnt on commission but overall GREAT place.

When I tell you that I am a female that does not like car dealerships!!! Well...... I don't consider CarMax to be a typical car dealership. I was more than impressed with the process that I took part in- for months, I studied, researched and searched for a specific vehicle that was at a price (and mileage) acceptable to me. Next, when I was able and ready, I found my vehicle and had it shipped to the Augusta location ( this was done online). Then, one of the World's BEST Car Sales Consultants, Nick Collins, reached out to me about the vehicle that I chose and shipped; we also discussed my plans to procure the vehicle. No pressure from the CarMax representative, just options to suit my needs. When I arrived to test drive my vehicle, an application was done-still no pressure. Full disclosure was given to me about policy and procedures with making a purchase. The price was firmly set with no surprises. Whatever info I needed that I didn't have for the application completed was later received over the phone or online. My first purchase was a DREAM ! Mr. Collins was a true expert and professional! My first purchase was in February 2025. When I decided to get another vehicle in the summer, I went straight back to CarMax and Nick Collins without hesitation!!

Ive bought 2 vehicles from here. Never had a bad experience. I bought my Chevy traverse in December 2018 and my dodge van in May 2025. In May it took us all of 2.5hrs to get look at my van, get approved by a bank and paperwork signed and drive off the lot. Within a week though my van lights started going off and we brought it back in. My van has now been sitting for 2 months at carmax getting fixed. They gave us a loaner vehicle for my family while we wait which has been great. Weve been getting updates about my van. And hopefully we'll have it back soon. They do everything in house and we do not have to pay, as if was included in the 90 day warrenty. They did offer an extended warrenty, which we did get. In the photos. Are both cars I've bought and the loaner vehicles we've gotten. We are a family of 6 and need an suv. I was very happy.
