“I visited Safford Honda Arlington's website to look at the 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid Sedan Sport, listed at $30,695. What followed was five consecutive days of phone calls from the dealership. When I finally answered, I spoke with my salesperson and was upfront about my budget of $25k–$27k. He told me they could do $27k and urged me to come in that same day, so I did.
The experience in person was disappointing. Before presenting any numbers, my salesperson asked whether I would commit to a deal and begin paperwork on the spot. I explained that I had other commitments and could finalize no earlier than Monday (2 days later), but would seriously consider their best offer. Despite this, the pressure to sign immediately continued throughout the entire visit.
When I asked for specifics — out-the-door pricing, monthly payments across 60, 72, and 84 months, with both 10% down and zero down — he came back with a sheet showing only 72-month terms at $3,000, $4,000, and $5,000 down. None of what I asked for. He then walked back the $27k figure that had brought me in, saying he had only said he would "try" — not guarantee it. The price on the paper turned out to be the same full sticker price from the website. When I tried to photograph the sheet, he pulled it away — then slid it back as though he were doing me a favor by having shown it at all.
My salesperson is certainly persistent — he would do well in a Wolf of Wall Street audition — but persistence is not the same as good salesmanship. He rarely answered my questions directly, stayed focused entirely on closing rather than listening, and had no issue quoting a discount over the phone that never materialized once I arrived. The visit was, unfortunately, a waste of my time.
If you value transparency, straightforward answers, and a salesperson who respects your timeline, I would look elsewhere.”

My sales representative, Chris Smith, was phenomenal — extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient throughout the entire process. He went above and beyond to get me the price I was aiming for and made sure everything went smoothly. It was a quick in-and-out experience, and now I’m happily driving my Ash Green Honda CR-V TrailSport!

“I had a great experience working with Sam. This was my first time ever getting a car. And Sam was so patient and explained everything clearly. He never made me feel pressured into buying a car and told me to take my time. He was very responsive through the whole process and sent me pictures of my car when it got detailed and washed. When I came back for some forms they even offered to fill my tank. If I ever buy another car I would definitely be back and ask for Sam.”
