“I've been buying cars for nearly 50 years. I can say without hesitation that my recent experience with Jake Zilverberg and his team at Hyundai of Albany was the most straightforward new car purchase that I have ever had.
From the negotiation and creation of the deal, to the contract-signing details, and then through the taking-possession process (getting educated on some of the Palisade systems), well, Jake has assembled a great team.
Knowledgable and energetic, it was a great pleasure to see a group of young professionals operating in such an effective fashion...and I can't say that I've ever had these kinds of thoughts about a car dealership!
If you're in the Eugene or Salem area (or beyond, Portland, southern Oregon, etc.) it will be worth your time to reach out to these folks. I promise.

“After weeks of stress and disappointment at other Hyundai dealerships, my family and I finally found what true customer service feels like at Albany Hyundai.
Both Dicks Hyundai (Hillsboro) and Beaverton Hyundai broke my trust by using misleading sales tactics, pressuring me to sign vague paperwork, and refusing to provide clear written quotes. The whole process left us drained and questioning whether buying a Hyundai was even worth it.
Then I reached out to Albany Hyundai, and from the very first conversation with Alec (sales associate), the experience could not have been more different. Alec was upfront, empathetic, and truly customer-centric. Instead of playing games, he simply asked me what lease terms I was comfortable with and then worked transparently to see if he could make it happen. He provided me a detailed written quote with all terms and upfront costs clearly laid out — something the other dealerships refused to do. That honesty alone instantly made us feel comfortable moving forward.
Alec went above and beyond — not only securing extra rebates to help make the deal possible but also accommodating our schedule by staying late after hours so that we could finalize the lease. When my wife, my mother, and I arrived, Alec greeted us warmly outside and even made my mother (visiting a dealership for the first time in the US) feel welcome and respected. That personal touch mattered more than words can describe.
We also had the pleasure of working with Jake (General Manager) and Andrew (Finance Manager). Jake is clearly a highly competent leader who has built a team rooted in integrity, professionalism, and genuine care for their customers. Andrew, too, was kind, patient, and thorough in walking us through every detail of the paperwork. Together, they created an environment where we felt reassured, respected, and confident in our decision.
What started as a stressful and disheartening search, made worse by two dealerships that tried to take advantage of us, turned into a reminder that there are still people in this industry who value trust, transparency, and relationships over shortcuts and tricks.
Thanks to Alec, Jake, and Andrew, we left Albany Hyundai not only with the car we wanted — an Ioniq 5 Limited — but also with our faith in the Hyundai brand restored. This team embodies what customer service should be, and I will gladly recommend Albany Hyundai to anyone who values honesty and professionalism in their car buying journey.”
