8 yrs I've owned and serviced my 2017 mazda with this company. The mazda being the 2nd car ive purchased with vandaveer. All oil changes , all required manufacturer services were done at the Vernon Odom location. Last week my vehicle went down. Before I could even get the car looked at they informed me that my "Warranty Forever" was voided two years ago. But they weren't sure why so I would needed to call the Warranty company. Which I did. They informed me that there were records missing of oil changes dating back to 2018. I provided those documents from my service records at the dealer and again the Warranty company came back and said another date was also missing and I had services the vehicle somewhere else. This date was also provided along with the whole service history of the car from the time I purchased it. Everyone went radio silent on me for two days. When I reached out for clarification that my service records were satisfied I was informed that unfortunately two years ago I exceeded the grace period in-between oil changes by 106 miles. At this point I dont even know whats wrong with the car. And I've spent a week trying to sort out the Warranty issue. I asked they look at the car so I know what im dealing with to confirm if in fact the engine was damaged. They confirmed it and offered to fix the vehicle for 4,300 dollars with a 90k mile motor. Or they could get me in contact with a sales person. I obviously declined, And before they would release my vehicle I was asked to pay 200 dollars for their diagnostic of my car. 8 years as customer who assumed he was doing the right thing to satisfy a warranty. All while I hadn't had a warranty for the last two years but was still paying dealer prices for oil changes and services. At no point has a manager reached out to maybe assume any responsibility or acknowledge that record keeping mistakes were made or offer to split a repair. This company has shown no dignity or principle for what they promote as the "vandaveer family".

Brent in service and Vincent in sales were kind, helpful and personable. Made an unexpected situation as smooth as could be expected. All staff was kind and offered refreshments and pleasantries as they passed through. Overall a pleasant experience.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is not an exaggeration. I have documentation to support everything I am stating. I purchased a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder from Vandever Chevrolet on Vernon Odom in May 2024. I am a Navy veteran, a single father of four, and a contractor. This vehicle is my only means of transportation for work and my children. From the day I drove it off the lot, the vehicle had issues. I immediately heard a rubbing noise. Vandever replaced a few parts early on but repeatedly told me it was just road or tire noise. As months passed, especially in colder weather, the noise became louder and more noticeable when turning. By late 2024, I brought it back again. They replaced steering components and a strut, but the problem continued. In early 2025, during a long drive, the noise became extremely loud, like a jet engine. I am a licensed mechanic and confirmed this was not road noise. I insisted they check the transmission. They eventually found metal in the transmission fluid and diagnosed a failed gear case, something they admitted is common on these vehicles. Over several months, they replaced the gear case twice, along with the front and rear differentials. This process dragged on until around May 2025, showing repeated misdiagnosis before the real issue was resolved. After that, the vehicle still did not drive properly and hesitated during acceleration. By mid-2025, the check engine light began coming on and off. I reported it multiple times but could not get in due to no loaner vehicles, despite explaining this was my only vehicle. By late 2025, the light stayed on and the engine developed ticking noises consistent with a VVT issue. In January 2026, I finally received a loaner and brought the vehicle in, only to be told my warranty had expired and the lifetime warranty was voided because I never received a coolant flush. I was never verbally informed that this was required. I was only told to maintain oil changes and had already received a transmission flush through their repairs. After nearly two years of repeated issues, delays, and poor communication, I was also told I could be charged forty-four dollars per day for the loaner if the warranty company denies the repair. This experience has been exhausting and unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing or servicing a vehicle here.

Took excellent care of me, let me test drive my vehicle for an extended period of time. They did everything in there power to make my payments manageable and as close to what I was willing to pay as possible. The vehicle is excellent. Strongly recommend and would go back in the future for any vehicle I would purchase.

We purchased a new truck and had a seamless experience from start to finish. All staff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful to cater to our needs and wants. We worked with Mickayla and would recommend her for anyone looking for a vehicle. She was fun, relatable and made it known she cared about us. We plan to return to her for any future purchases and will tell anyone else looking to see her. She is great at what she does!! The dealership staff in general helped us have an amazing experience!
