“I want to start by saying that I have never left a negative review anywhere before, and it genuinely makes me sick to my stomach to have to write this. I was really hoping things would get resolved and I would be able to write a good review.
About a year and a half ago, I was in the market for a car and drove an hour and a half to this dealership to look at a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox. It had fewer miles and was much newer than my 2007 Honda CR-V. I test drove the Equinox and felt neutral about it—I wasn’t sold. While I was deciding, the sales staff went outside to assess my Honda for a trade-in. When they returned, they told me it was only worth $1,000 and warned me that it “might not even make it back” to where I lived due to its condition.
That comment caused me to panic, and I felt pressured into agreeing to purchase the Equinox. The salesman reassured me by saying he would “put his wife in that car,” implying it was safe and reliable. I later learned the vehicle had been falsely listed as having only one previous owner— a little old lady who the salesman supposedly knew and didn’t need the car anymore. Had I known there was more than one owner, it absolutely would have affected my decision. My gut was telling me not to buy the car, and I should have listened. When I signed the paperwork and they asked if I was excited, I gave a sarcastic “yeah.” They even commented that it wasn’t the reaction they usually get and told me I should be excited.
Three months after purchasing the vehicle, I broke down on the highway while driving to the Cities. To their credit, the dealership did repair the timing chain at that time, which seems like it was a bandaid fix.
Fast forward to now—one and a half years after buying the car—and I broke down again while driving to my parents’ house for Christmas. I had purchased the extended warranty offered through Endurance, yet the warranty company has refused to cover anything. As a result, I was left without transportation and had to walk to work in negative temperatures for over a month.
I’m not writing this review solely because of the mechanical issues. Cars break down—that happens. I’m writing this because of the sales tactics that were used. I felt pressured, scared, and misled into making a major financial decision. If you choose to visit this dealership, I strongly recommend bringing someone with you who can help advocate on your behalf.

My dad has been in contact with your team about my experience and we have received no further help. Again, I no longer trust your team enough to talk with anyone there. That’s why my dad is involved. I will forever be scarred by this experience.”

“From the moment I first spoke to Cole to the moment I left with my new truck, he was professional and treated me with respect! He was very helpful through the entire buying process and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. I would also like to acknowledge Josh for not giving up on me when the banks were giving him push back. He continued to advocate on my behalf and did an amazing job securing the financing my family and I needed! These 2 made the buying process smooth and the way it should be. These best part was I never felt pressured to buy something I didn’t want! Thank you again for all of your professionalism and hard work, it didn’t go unnoticed!”

“I had a service Appt. At Atwater Chev/GMC last Tuesday at 10:30am, I had the truck towed in on Monday ahead of time, and they gave me a loaner to drive home. They were able to work on it on Monday and I drove back Monday afternoon and picked it up all finished. I really appreciated the fast service I received and helpfulness I received from the folks at Atwater Chev/GMC!! This was the second time I used the Chevy dealer in Aitkin and it was excellent both times!! Thanks Again….”

“My husband won a free detail through a drawing and I used it on my 2014 traverse. They did an amazing job! I can’t believe how good my car looked when I picked her up! Almost like I was driving her for the first time and I’ve had her for 10 years- so she was in need of a good clean out! Fantastic attention to detail! Highly recommend!”
