Review QuickTakes:

Honda didn’t invent the minivan, but it perfected this genre of practical people-haulers. Today, while its rivals either electrify or explore niche positioning, the 2022 Honda Odyssey remains a popular choice in a small segment. However, some innovation is in order to keep up with rivals.

What’s New for the 2022 Honda Odyssey?

Aside from introducing a new Radiant Red Metallic II paint color, the 2022 Honda Odyssey is unchanged from the previous model year.

Honda Odyssey Competitors for 2022

With the 2022 Odyssey, Honda squares off against the Chrysler Pacifica, Kia Carnival, and Toyota Sienna. Both the Pacifica and the Sienna offer electrified powertrains, while the Carnival delivers the style and interior design of a crossover SUV paired with the practicality of a minivan. The Kia even offers second-row seats that are similar to first-class accommodations on a modern jet. Nevertheless, the Odyssey excels in the areas critical to people who buy this type of vehicle.

My first word was “car.” That’s what I’m told, anyway. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with them. The design. The engineering. The performance. And the purpose. I’m a car enthusiast who loves to drive, but I’m also most interested in the cars, trucks, and SUVs that people actually buy. Anybody can tell you that a sports car is fast. What you need to know is whether or not you should buy that new SUV, and why. My life purpose is to help you make that decision.
