I went for an oil change & software update for a open recall on my 23 Tundra Monday Jan 12th. My automatic passenger side mirror would not fold out the next morning and I took it back to Gates Toyota that same day, Tuesday the 13th. They told me it wasn't from anything that they did, that it's a known issue with these mirrors, that they've dealt with a lot, to the point they are sending all that information to Toyota to see if they'll do anything about it and the actual mirrors are getting hard to find because this is happening so much. Ok, fine, I have a warranty so lets get it fixed. Well they told me they couldn't find my warranty information, I have Gold level coverage, they didn't charge me for the diagnostic on the mirror, but that it would cost me $1725.00 to replace it! I had already placed a called to Toyota in Merriville, where I purchased the truck 8 months ago, and one of their finance guy's, Chris is his name, contacted me back later Tuesday afternoon. I gave him my name, he tells me "no worries", finds my warranty information, and connected me to Toyota of Merriville service department within a few seconds to schedule an appointment with them. Toyota of Merriville gets me in Wednesday morning, Jan 14th @ 07:30. They did diagnostics on the mirror, got everything worked out with my warranty, & ordered the part in no time. Today, Jan 16th, Toyota of Merriville fixed my mirror! $100 deductible, much better than the $1725.00 Gates tried to charge me. If you're able to, take your business to Toyota of Merriville! They will be getting my business from now on! Thank you Chris and Jeremy of Toyota of Merriville!

Drove from 3+ hours away for a Tacoma. Worked out a deal with me over the phone/ text so that I basically just had to show up and sign the paperwork. Great price on the new truck, and they gave good value for my trade.

Buying my new 4Runner at Gates Toyota was an absolute delight. Trent once again proved why I keep going back. He’s consistently knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure I end up in the right vehicle rather than just any vehicle. Working with him always feels easy and trustworthy. Jason in finance kept things moving with zero friction. The paperwork was quick and clear, and he answered every question without the usual back-and-forth you brace for in a finance office. The entire process felt seamless from start to finish. The only thing that gave me pause was an interaction with the parts department. While I was standing with Trent, a couple of team members spoke to him in a way that felt unprofessional and out of place in an otherwise exceptional experience. It didn’t take away from how well Trent and Jason took care of me, but it stood out. All in all, I’m thrilled with my 4Runner and grateful for the level of service Trent and Jason consistently deliver. Gates Toyota continues to be my go-to dealership, and experiences like this are exactly why.

My wife and I traveled a couple of hours to buy a used Sienna, and we were very happy with our experience at Gates. Our sales consultant, Devin, was especially respectful, knowledgeable, and patient. I would really recommend shopping for a car here.

Purchased my 2023 Highlander from this business. Jimmy was our salesman and I couldn’t be happier. Everyone was so friendly and helpful with answering any questions or concerns. Everything from test driving to the financial part was super easy and moved fairly quickly. I would recommend them for sure. We will be back with any future purchases. Thank you ALL!!!
