ā€œI had a very disappointing experience with the service department during my recent visit. I brought my 2025 Equinox EV in for recalls and additional concerns and provided a written summary to ensure everything was accurately documented. Rather than reviewing the vehicle or concerns, the initial service advisor (Jason) immediately dismissed my notes and stated, ā€œI knew as soon as I saw your notes that you were going to be a difficult customer.ā€ When I explained that I was documenting observed issues so they could be properly diagnosed, he continued to dismiss the concerns, stating certain issues ā€œdon’t happenā€ or that there would be ā€œa codeā€ if something was wrong, without inspecting the vehicle. I calmly stated that I would not be spoken to in that manner and requested to work with someone else. Jason then took my paperwork, walked it over to another advisor, Danielle, and stated, ā€œYou deal with him,ā€ again referring to me as a difficult customer. He continued to interject from his desk even after I had asked to no longer work with him. This entire interaction occurred in front of my 5-year-old child, which made the situation particularly inappropriate. Danielle was professional, respectful, and helped ensure the concerns were properly documented. I also spoke with the service manager, who acknowledged the situation and indicated it would be addressed. I have purchased a vehicle from this dealership in the past and have generally had positive experiences, particularly with Kathy, who was excellent. This experience, however, was a significant departure from that standard. As a result, I am left with a level of concern and unease about returning for service. Customers should be treated with professionalism and respect, especially when bringing in a vehicle for recalls and warranty-related concerns. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to ensure a more professional experience moving forward.ā€

ā€œJimmy our salesman at North Shore Chevy was quick and easy to work with from start to finish. He was responsive, knowledgeable, and didn’t play the game. Joe in finance was just as awesome! Super helpful, efficient, and great at explaining everything clearly without any pressure. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was done properly and fit our needs. They made what can often be a long process feel smooth and seamless. Highly recommend this team if you’re looking for a great car-buying experience!ā€

ā€œSo with my reviews I speak of my experiences, I was in need of a vehicle with 3 rows and the RS traverse fit my needs. As you are probably aware that most dealers list a price on their sites less a 1995.00$ down payment. (Some now list a 25% deposit). Anyway the young salesman Ronnie showed me the truck and grabbed keys and plate for the test ride. Car looked and drove well except for 2 dents. He and his manager agreed to make repairs as part of the sale.(perfect). Next step is the financing department and bring you calculator because numbers are thrown out. Two people couldn’t be any further from a deal the us. My credit isn’t great but the 72 month at 16-19% was insane.. I never felt like my question were being answered and they kept asking ā€œwhat were you hoping forā€ ā€œhow much a month did you expect ā€œ? Those are red flags to me. 830$ per month at 72 months is in the mid 50k area for a 32k truck.(wow) I went to my bank and got a 60 month at 600$. So in conclusion the salesman Ronnie got it right and was a pleasure to deal with, his management didn’t hold him back so that the sale could be made.. the financial advisor was friendly but was definitely overpriced with the loan offers.. I would purchase there again but might just get pre-approved by a bank before talking numbers..ā€

ā€œIt was a pleaser to purchase a used vehicle from Chevrolet of Smithtown. Ronnie, my salesman, was great. He made the process as easy and painless as possible. I mentioned the price I needed to be at, and without the annoying back and forth Ronnie and management were able to work with me on an agreed upon price. The next day all the paperwork was already done, I was able to pick up the car and be in and out of the finance manager's office in under 20 minutes. Highly recommend.ā€

ā€œIt’s by far the worst experience in my life. Your service team and service management are terrible dishonest and disrespectful. I drove the truck in and took it towed out after paying $453 Plus tax for diagnostic. And paid over 800 for tow and they gave me a break l. I’ll post this on google, yelp and contact BBB. I was told over the phone it’s $229 for diagnostic service. Then I got a call back from the service person Justin that’s he need to dig in deeper and if he has my permission to open the car. I replied yeah I bought the car in for diagnostic so yeah sure. When I got a call back from him again next day he said it’s the cam shaft and it’ll coast me over $11.000 to fix I said I’ll come in next day I have to think about this it’s a huge expense and I’m not prepared for that. He replied you Already over 4 hours in diagnostic you’re around $650 in just diagnostic ONLY I replied what. I was told the diagnostic $229 as per Mary over the phone told me. He said I called you to get a permission from you. I replied yes you called me for permission to open the car that’s all. He said what do you think it’s free I said no I thought that’s included in the price I was giving. He said no that’s per hour. And you never ever discussed any price over the price I was giving I was giving only $229 plus tax for diagnostic. He replied loud and nasty tone I’ll put your car on a lean then hang up the phone. Next day I went to the shop talked to the manager her name was Fran. She talked to me like she was doing me a favor and I have to go I have a doctors appointment at 11AM anyway at the end I paid what I mentioned before and coast me $800 after I had it dropped off driving I took the engine in pieces in my trunk. Thanks for Nothing Smithtown Chevrolet. I’ll tell everyone that I know never to get service ever there. Some confusing and conflicting pricing. Cam shaft replaced $11500 1st quote for an new engine $15500 from Jay 2nd quote from salesman after the manager told him to take care of me $16600 šŸ˜„ After I talked to the manager she gave me $13400 and she’s taking care of me. What a scam dropping $3000 just for me. Wow screaming me. By the way the engine price from Chevrolet is $6800 and the rest in labor. Advice to everyone do your homework before taking it yo this place. Horrible service!ā€
