Are there any changes to my Capital One or Discover accounts?
We’ll reach out by email or letter if there are updates to your Discover or Capital One accounts. If you don't hear from us, you can continue to manage your accounts as usual.
What if I’m a customer of both Capital One and Discover?
Keep using your Discover and Capital One accounts as usual. We'll let you know when your Discover account has moved to Capital One and what that means for your account. You'll be able to easily link your accounts online at Capital One after they move—this will allow you to manage both accounts all from one place.
Will my credit score be impacted?
Checking card eligibility involves a soft inquiry, which doesn't affect your credit score. But, if you choose to accept a card offer, the acceptance will trigger a hard inquiry, which may impact your score.
How does the process work?
After you answer some questions about yourself, we'll tell you if you’ll be approved for any Capital One card offers.
You don't need to apply separately if you are presented a card offer—just accept and we'll mail you your card. If approved, you may need to verify the information you provided before we can open your account.
