As you're shopping for a new car, considering cars with keyless entry allows you to access your vehicle without needing to physically unlock your doors. Cars with keyless entry can be helpful if you frequently have your hands full, or even if you find yourself in danger and need to enter your vehicle as quickly as possible.
Today, there are two main types of keyless entry system. With the first, you can use a key fob as a remote to unlock your door or to open the trunk. This isn't new, but it's become an expectation on all but the most basic vehicles. With the second, sensors on the car detect the key fob, allowing you to unlock the car door by pushing a convenient button on the door handle, or often just putting your hand inside the handle itself. Often systems even let you wave your hand or foot near the trunk or a door, which will open automatically.
In recent years, keyless entry functionality has become widely available, even on less expensive sedans. We've compiled a list of compact sedans released for the 2022 model year that offer keyless entry capabilities and cost under $25,000. Our selections are listed from lowest to highest manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP), which includes the mandatory destination fee. Please note that final pricing may change with the addition of packages or dealer fees.
