It’s fitting that in this transitional time of year, one might look to get out of a longtime daily driver and upgrade a little — or a lot. New model releases give manufacturers and dealers extra incentive to transition themselves out of current inventory to make room for new arrivals.

Certified pre-owned (CPO) luxury cars are a great way to get into something high-end without incurring the huge cost of buying new. An added benefit of manufacturers’ CPO programs is they’re thorough enough that you can often drive away with warranty and maintenance programs comparable to new vehicles. Let’s check in on some of the best used luxury deals to be found during October, 2022.

Editor's note: For consistency, Capital One sought out currently advertised offers using a Southern California ZIP code. Southern California is the country's largest new-car market, and it is not served by independent distributors that may set their prices, lease programs, and financing deals.

Through October 31, Mercedes-Benz is offering  on 2019-2021 models including the E-Class sedan. Running slightly larger than the C-Class, with a bit more trunk space and more thoroughly equipped tech-wise, a CPO E-Class makes for an outstanding step up for the C-Class driver or a great jumping-on point for anyone who’s been eyeing a Mercedes, but has yet to find the right deal.

2021 Jaguar F-Type, Velocity Blue, SwitzerlandJaguar

2017-2021 Jaguar F-Type S V6: 3.99% APR financing for 12-24 months

Autumn isn’t just cool breezes and pumpkin-spiced everything: It’s the season of leaves falling everywhere, including all over the roads. What better way to blow them away than with the screaming V6 engine of Jaguar’s F-Type S? Sure, the same  is available on 2017-2021 standard F-Type models, but if the V6 is there, you gotta take it. This offer is currently good through October 31.

2017 Lincoln MKZLincoln

All Certified Pre-Owned Lincoln MKZ models: 0% APR financing for 36 months

No longer in production, the Lincoln MKZ filled a niche as a higher-end take on the popular Ford Fusion. The Lincoln version incorporated luxury elements and flashier design while not reaching into the budgetary stratosphere. Through January 3, 2023, Lincoln is offering  on a slew of CPO models, including the MKZ. It’s a good time to get a good deal on a high-end sedan that’s a bit of a sleeper. Lincoln’s  is based on odometer mileage rather than model years.
