2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally First Look
The Mustang family tree sprouts a rugged branch as Ford introduces a rally-inspired iteration of its sporting electric crossover.

Just a few years after taking the Mustang name in a new direction with the Mach-E electric vehicle (EV), Ford is doing it again. The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally is an EV pony crossover that's intended to gallop over dirt and gravel.
The new Rally model will soon join the Mach-E family of electric crossovers, bringing with it rally-inspired looks, parts, and performance.

2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally Blends Off- and On-Road Looks
In order to look the part of a rally racer, and be visually distinct from regular Mustang Mach-E models, the Mach-E Rally gets a revised front-end design that includes high-mounted fog lights and a splitter fitted to the bottom of the front bumper. Other tweaks to toughen up the Mach-E Rally's exterior include model-specific upper and lower body moldings, and a black-painted roof. Out back the oversized rear wing takes inspiration from the discontinued Ford Focus RS.
To help them further stand out from the herd, all Mustang Mach-E Rally models get twin racing stripes and a choice of vivid colors, including Eruption Green, Grabber Blue, and Grabber Yellow.
On the hardware front, the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally is equipped with specially tuned MagneRide shocks that increase the crossover's ride height by 20mm, compared with the Mach-E GT. Instead of the larger low-profile tires on the standard Mach-E GT, the Rally gets a set of Michelin CrossClimate2 tires that offer better grip off-road. The Michelins tires are taller, and have more sidewall, than those fitted to the Mach-E GT. This is a common tire strategy for cars with off-road aspirations, because having more sidewall allows the tire to flex and maintain traction in loose terrain. Rally-style 19-inch gloss-white wheels cover red Brembo-branded brake calipers.

Mach-E Rally Sees a Torque Boost
The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally uses the same twin-motor setup as the Mach-E GT Performance. Ford is targeting output of at least 480 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, the latter of which would be an improvement over the Mach-E GT Performance's 634 lb-ft of torque.
Electricity will be fed to those motors via a 91-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is capable of DC fast charging. Ford expects the Mach-E Rally to be capable of traveling approximately 250 miles on a single charge, which is 10 fewer miles than what the EPA test estimates you'll get out of a fully charged Mach-E GT Performance.

2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally Updates Interior Accents
The overall interior design of the Mach-E hasn't changed radically with the Rally treatment, but there are a few differences from the standard EV. Gloss-white accents match the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally's wheels and are present on the dashboard, steering wheel, door stitching, and front seatbacks. "Mach-E Rally" is also debossed on the seats.
Befitting its off-road capabilities, the Mach-E Rally is equipped with a RallySport Drive Mode that, according to Ford, provides more linear throttle response, adjusts the dampers for better handling in loose corners, and relaxes the yaw control. What does that mean? Ford has designed the Mustang Mach-E Rally to allow for bigger slides in slick conditions.
Mustang Mach-E Rally buyers will also get a 90-day trial of Ford's latest BlueCruise 1.3 hands-free driving system, which can center the vehicle in a lane.
2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally Pricing and Availability
Ford will open up the order books for the Mustang Mach-E Rally in early 2024, with deliveries commencing shortly thereafter. Official pricing has not been announced as of September 2023, but Ford says it is aiming for a price of around $65,000.
