Shane Weeks

Shane Weeks is primarily involved in originating commercial real estate loans in the Birmingham, Alabama, office. Prior to joining Capital One Multifamily in October 2010, Mr. Weeks spent more than seven years with GMAC Commercial Mortgage and its successors, Capmark Finance and Berkadia Commercial Mortgage. During this time, the Birmingham office closed more than $3.5 billion in commercial real estate mortgages and headed the MHC Lending division for each company. Mr. Weeks has expertise in loan structuring, underwriting, due diligence, valuation, investment/finance analytics and document negotiation.

Mr. Weeks began his career in 2001 with Collateral Mortgage Capital, LLC, as a Real Estate Analyst for Collateral’s top production team and rose to Senior Real Estate Analyst. In 2003, he made the transition to the newly established GMAC Commercial Mortgage office in Birmingham. As an Analyst, Mr. Weeks helped facilitate the production of new loans by assisting production officers analyze property financial statements, underwrite and close loans, and market to potential and existing clients.  In 2004, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President, where he gained extensive loan origination experience, particularly multifamily and manufactured home community lending.

Mr. Weeks holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management and a Master’s degree in Business from the University of Alabama.
