Cadillac VISTIQ Luxury

Editor's notes

This is the Vistiq, the newest vehicle from Cadillac and the fifth electric vehicle (EV) it’s announced. It follows on from the smaller Optiq and Lyriq SUVs, and slots in just under the full-size Escalade IQ. Cadillac also has the upcoming Celestiq all-electric flagship sedan.

And at this point, that’s all know for sure about the new Vistiq, since Cadillac had yet to furnish more than a few photos at the time of compiling this piece. But if we use the Lyriq (which we really like, incidentally) as a point of reference, we can infer that the Vistiq will offer a dual-motor/all-wheel-drive setup with around 500 horsepower (that’s the Lyriq’s optional drivetrain).

What kind of range will the new Cadillac Vistiq have?

To be competitive, it’s going to need to cover at least 300 miles. This class of luxury electric SUVs is going to grow. The Tesla Model X already has a 348-mile range. The Rivian R1S claims 400 miles with its biggest battery. The Lucid Gravity is supposed to travel for 440 miles between charges. And the Kia EV9 is rated at 304 miles. Cadillac (well, General Motors) has some impressive proprietary battery technology, so we wouldn’t be surprised if recharging times (using a DC fast charger) were about as quick as anything else out there.

On-Sale Date

No official word yet, but let’s assume the 2026 Vistiq will reach dealerships in the second half of 2025.
