Bad management!

05/14/2025

We had a bad decision to buy this RAV4 2024 plug in hybrids !!!! Can't believe that, we paid over $50 K. , and the GPS only last for one year and it just disconnected, one of the moment we just loss the map , and we paid for the GPS when we purchased this RAV4 , why when we first purchased it, the sales man and the manager didn't mention anything about we can only used the GPS for a year after a year we have to pay $15 to $25 to continue to use the GPS, it just a big cheating for the old people & dishonest to do the business, we're here at USA for over 40 some years and bought so many different car & the GPS always work, except this Toyota, just shame on this company, why cheated people to buy their car without notice the guest about the technology only last for a year then the guest had to pay for that kind money every single month for how long they owed their vehicle , end up it's a lot for the retired older people ,if I can gave zero star I will, unfortunately it's no redo star, felt so bad that we purchased this expensive but not worth car, will talk to all friends about how bad Toyota was ! It's shame. And bad service, bad management!!!!!!!!

Toyota RAV4

04/29/2025

I bought my RAV4 two years ago and I noticed stuff coming out of my filter. I took it to the dealership and he said all Toyota has this wire that attracts rodents. What happens is the rodents get up by the filter and eat through it and it comes through my air conditioning ventsToyota told me that it’s my responsibility to put a claim on my insurance in order for it to be fixed, I believe if Toyota knows about the wiring why don’t they replace it with something else? The insurance company told me this can happen anywhere you can be in a parking lot. You can be in an apartment parking lot. Toyota told me that it’s my responsibility to put a claim on my insurance in order for it to be fixed, I believe if Toyota knows about the wiring why don’t they replace it with something else? The insurance company told me this can happen anywhere you can be in a parking lot. You can be in an apartment parking lot or at home and it’ll happen. I just think it’s a shame for what I’m paying for this that I have to be responsible for it.

Could be better

Mostly comfortable vehicle but there are a couple design changes I would make mostly on the interior of the door. I would suggest raising the arm rest about 1.5 inches, bringing it 1 inch closer to the driver/passenger and putting a pocket handle into it. This would add greatly to comfort and usability of the door. On the radio controls, the software to quickly switch between stations is not very good. Luckily my vehicle has the "Hey Toyota" assistant which is actually easier to use to control the radio than the touch screen, although the reaction time is just OK. The ride is comfortable and reasonably quiet, I have the hybrid XLE premium version. One would think the premium version would have powered passenger seat controls, but no. In this day and age, that should come standard except on the lowest class. Mine also has the fake leather seats, we will see what they look like in 10+ years but they are comfortable. One thing I like about the Rav4 over the Honda CRV is that it comes with a spare tire. I keep my vehicles for a long time and there have been cases where that has come in handy. The fuel economy has been great, getting about 43 mile per gal. Overall, I would give it an 8 out of 10 rating.
