Like other S versions of Audi vehicles, the SQ5 ramps up the power and equipment levels and brings enthusiast appeal. We think this is an effective strategy. As much as we respect the regular Q5 (the best-selling Audi), we wouldn’t describe it as thrilling. The SQ5 adds the fun factor.
The generation has been around since the 2017 model year and could use some updating. Which is exactly what’s happening, although in a kind of messy way. See the What’s New section below.
