We’re impressed by the real-world ranges, safety equipment, and things like the super-wide Hyperscreen infotainment display, in addition to the high-quality materials and silky ride. Just because there’s an E in the name, and this is a premium midsize sedan, don’t think that Mercedes-Benz has merely taken an E-Class and swapped in an electric drivetrain. The EQE is built on a dedicated platform developed especially for electric vehicles. The combustion-powered E-Class and the all-electric EQE SUV are both reviewed separately.
