Although it bears the same Sierra name as its combustion-powered stablemate, this truck is based on a dedicated electric vehicle (EV) platform — just like the Chevrolet Silverado EV. The usual GMC and Chevy connection remains, even in this new electric era.
Both electric trucks make remarkable power and are capable of swift acceleration. They don’t quite match their combustion cousins in terms of towing and payload, yet someone who needs ultimate capability in those areas is less likely to go down this rechargeable road anyway.
