This car has very small doors. I literally have to crawl into the front seat and do my best to flip around. Then I have to crawl out again. They tried to make the car slightly more fuel efficient but sacrificed comfort.

I test drove a 2025 Prius XLE, Mazda Miata, and Subaru Crosstrek after driving a Toyota 4-Runner for 5 years. I expected good reliability and was taken by surprise with the ride and roominess so I decided to purchase one. I've been driving it for 3 months / 2,000 miles and absolutely love it! It handles like a sports car, taking on curvy backroads just as nicely as the Miata and with better acceleration. I'm 6-ft and find the fit is just right for me. Some reviews talk about an obstructed view of the instrument cluster but I find no problem with it. Limited headroom in the back is to be expected with the sleek design and I find it much better than sports cars of this size. The steering wheel and seat adjustment options take care of that. The hatchback design offers much more room than the Miata and it has 4 doors and a backseat. It has just as much storage as the Subaru, and much better performance and comfort. The build quality feels solid for such a small car and I'm confident I will get many miles of low mpg reliability with this beauty (54 mph without really trying).

I purchase a new car every 3-4 years and have driven many different makes and models over the years. This 2025 Toyota Prius XLE is a winner. I love the way it handles and the styling wins many compliments. It's quick, yet I get 54 mph without really trying. The interior is well-designed and spacious for a car of this size. Some reviewrs mention poor visibility with the pillars, rear window and instrument panel but if you think of this as a sports car, which wouldn't be unreasonable to do so, the visibility is in line with other sports cars shaped to slice efficiently through the wind. This vehicle has excellent road manners and drives where you want it, with no body roll and no hesitation with the gas pedal. Many sports cars of this shape and size don't offer 4-doors, back seats, or much of a cargo area. This Prius has all that and more. Admittedly, my intention this time around with a car purchase was to get the peppy 2025 Camry Sport which would offer more room and visibility but there weren't any available when I was ready to trade-in my 4-Runner. There was one Prius XLE on the lot and I decided to go with it. I'd recommend test driving one to see what you think. It may surprise you!
