Cheap and weak engine

01/10/2025

Horribly dissatisfied with my 2019 equinox LT 1.5 Ltr Engine. How could they put a 4 cylinder engine from a Sedan in a large SUV? I get the gas economy but too weak of an engine and I don’t notice where the turbo part comes in. I should’ve known. I know the reviews out there confirm this was a waste of a model and ruined the Equinox generation but when I test drove car in dealer I didn’t get to feel how weak the engine was until I bought it and experienced the Erving to almost 4 RPM from local 25 mph residential areas. The 2.0 Ltr engine is I guess the only option Chevy should’ve stuck with. They’ll never be a Honda or Toyota from cutting corners. And making such a weak cheap car isn’t going to help. I’ve never driven a weaker suv in my life. It’s almost like out of everything going on in the world, all we need is another annoying cheap product in life that costs thousands of dollars and no updates or fixes. The gas mileage isn’t worth the lack of power and inability to put groceries or 2 more average weight ppl in my car and have my engine roar and lag. Let alone if I wanted to put a hitch to tow anything. What a waste of materials
