The radio is the worst part about this vehicle. It is constantly clicking itself and putting weird screens on. This is very annoying and is a distraction, increasing the risk of a crash. It also doesn’t work a lot of the time when you press it to change channels and just acts dead. Steering wheel also sets the radio off even when your hands aren’t on the buttons. Plus it does not downshift early enough up hills and often lugs down to 1k rpm before downshifting which takes it out of the power range and makes the engine shudder. It also seems too high geared in general for a truck. Other than that it seems to be a nice truck but these issues completely ruin it. It looks great, handles well, and has a comfy interior, and these issues make me sad because it would be a good truck if they had just made a few improvements to certain areas. The radio system especially is really making me want to sell it and buy something else.

My rear differential had to get replaced (many others have the same issue). My menchanic said this is rare for a truck with 80,000 miles. Beware!!!

Purchased truck because it looked great on the show floor, had a lift kit with big tires, and beautiful black rims on it. But then at 24,000 miles it started shaking and jerking for no reason, came to find out on my own that it was called the "chevy shakes", supposedly they had put the wrong transmition oil in it and all it needed was a flush and the right kind of tranny oil. Wrong. Had to repeat every 30,000 miles and now I have a dead tranny that I have to replace out of my own pocket, because they did what they were supposed to do. Flush it. Never again will I purchase a Cheverlet or any, supposedly american made vehicle, learned my lesson. There are a couple Lawsuits in California against the same issues, but different Chevy models, all bad tranny's in them.
