People say all kinds of lies on here. Good vehicle, Bad vehicle, Etc.. First of all, let me tell you my experience dealing with this vehicle. It Sucks!!! It needs a engine replacement being a little over 110k miles. Oil dilution is the biggest concern is what they showed me. Plus the transmission fluid is leaking. The transfer case is leaking, etc. Well, the best thing I just did was trade in the vehicle. Never again would I buy ford escape 2016-2019 All of them have major issues.

Do not buy a Ford Escape from 2018

03/27/2025

We have owned Fords for fifty years (a truck, an Edge, two Escapes, a Taurus, and an Explorer) but will NEVER buy any Ford again. Their quality has declined. Our 2018 Ford Escape (well-maintained) had to have a new engine block after the engine came on and stayed on. We had 84,000 miles, but that is not enough to warrant a new engine. There is a design flaw in which coolant leaked into the engine itself. Ford knew about this problem and had a replacement offer that expired in 2022. The cost of the engine was $11,000; Ford paid $4000 and we paid the rest. Contacting Ford did not help. We have learned that there are many people who have had this issue, based on our online search, and there have been class action lawsuits. We will be looking at other cars when the time comes to replace this car. And, by the way, the paint around the windshield is flaking off, another issue that we found has been experienced by many Ford owners with blue cars or trucks. Guess 2018 was a bad year, depending on which plant manufactured the car or truck. Bottom line: Ford just does not care. They no longer have quality vehicles they stand behind.

Ignore those fake five star reviews

03/25/2025

Read those fake five star reviews, same thing said over, over again!!! These vehicles are not like a honda, or even a toyota. Those are good vehicles made to last. These ford escape suvs are terrible. Cheap vehicle, transmission replacement already at 90k mileage. This vehicle doesn't hold it's value compared to putting money into it.
